The brother of 22-time Grand Slam winner Steffi Graf is on the run from the law and has picked a bizarre place to call home for now.
Younger sibling Michael has apparently been living in the tunnels under Las Vegas while a warrant is out for his arrest in Nevada regarding a criminal misdemeanor charge of trespass.
The 55-year-old began posting disturbing videos on Facebook seemingly from the tunnels, as a disheveled looking Graf sat in front of a wall of graffiti and rambled to the camera. All of his belongings appear to be in a shopping cart.
It’s unclear how long Graf has been in the tunnels as he was previously said to be living in a tent at Lake Mead near the city.
The Las Vegas tunnels were developed as flood protection in the mid-1970s and have become a habitat for homeless people beneath The Strip of hotels and casinos.
Graf, who has seen his share of legal troubles in the past, had the case closed, was given a no contact order and was instructed to stay out of any trouble. A Mar. 12 arrest for DUI in Boulder City landed him back in hot water. He was slapped with a bench warrant in Nevada on Mar. 26 for failing to appear in court, per documents reviewed by The Post.
The warrant remains active.
Another development from Graf’s videos was an alleged physical altercation between him and Steffi’s husband and fellow tennis legend, Andre Agassi.
Graf suggested Agassi “enjoyed hitting me as hard as he could.”
“I mean, that’s understandable. I just kept pushing all sorts of buttons,” Graf said. “I just thought to myself: What the hell, another idiot? I don’t mean to say that her partners are idiots, but I just thought… no, no, no! I mean, I really gave him a good whack. It was like… a real pirate move.”
He also added that he “pinched” Agassi’s nipples because “he wasn’t wearing his pirate earrings anymore.”
“Otherwise, I would have dragged him behind me by his earrings, 100 percent,” Graf said.
Graf and his four children followed Steffi and Agassi to Las Vegas, where the latter was born. The couple married in the backyard of their home in October 2001.
“Very shortly after my mum moved to Las Vegas, and then my brother and his four kids, so we have all the family there. All the cousins are together and growing up together – it’s pretty neat,” Steffi told Hello! in 2014 about the move.
When Graf was arrested for violent outbursts in 2020, Steffi did her best to support him, buying him a house, seeking legal guardianship and financing his lawyers, per Blick.
Her brother reportedly moved out of his home following a second failed marriage earlier this year and was living out of his Tesla, which he crashed in September.
