Lame duck President Joe Biden appeared to be struggling to remain sentient as he stood and listened to Democrat VP Kamala Harris give a word salad statement to the media.
Harris, Biden’s replacement as the presumptive Democrat nominee for president, was widely mocked over the Thursday night statement.
She spoke to reporters on an airport tarmac where three Americans were returned after being wrongfully imprisoned in Russia.
U.S. Marine veteran Paul Whelan, Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, and Russian-American journalist Alsu Kurmasheva were released by Russia in a prisoner-swap deal with the U.S. government.
When they arrived back on American soil on Thursday night, they were greeted by Harris and Biden on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
Standing next to a disheveled-looking Biden, Harris said:
“This is just extraordinary testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and understands the strength that rests in understanding the significance of diplomacy and strengthening alliances.
“This is an incredible day.”
Many critics online also pointed out that Biden looked completely cooked as he stood next to Harris and listened to her talk.

“Here we go again,” conservative commentator Tomi Lahren said in a post on X responding to the clip.
“Kamala is still burdened by what has been, clearly.”
Former Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell responded to the clip: “Dear God.
“Without a teleprompter, she’s unable to make sense.
“DC reporters are helping her hide.”
The comments from Harris were the first time she had spoken to the media since launching her presidential campaign over a week ago.
As Slay News reported earlier, Harris’s handers appear to be hiding her from the public as they did with Biden in 2020.
Like Biden, Harris is also prone to gaffes and bizarre rambling statements.
It comes as the Democrats prepare to undemocratically select the vice president as their nominee for the 2024 election.
Harris has been in a protective bubble since launching her presidential campaign more than a week ago.
So far, Harris hasn’t done any press conferences or sit-down interviews, opting instead to stick to pep rallies with celebrities.
Harris is set to receive a coronation at the Democratic National Convention starting on August 19, despite never receiving a single primary vote.
