Blake Masters Wins Arizona Republican U.S. Senate Primary

Blake Masters has won Arizona’s Republican U.S. Senate primary, according to a projection early Wednesday morning from Cook Political Report’s Dave Wasserman.

“I’ve seen enough: Blake Masters (R) wins the #AZSEN GOP primary and will face Sen. Mark Kelly (D) in the fall. @CookPolitical November rating: Toss Up,” Wasserman tweeted.

Republican candidate Tudor Dixon won the Michigan Republican primary on Tuesday night.

Nixon was endorsed by President Trump last week.

Pro-Impeachment Rep. Peter Meijer Loses To Trump-Endorsed Primary Challenger John Gibbs

Republican Michigan Rep. Peter Meijer lost his Tuesday primary race to former Department of Housing and Urban Development official John Gibbs, according to multiple reports.

Gibbs announced he would challenge Meijer in November 2021, and former President Donald Trump endorsed him the same week. Meijer was one of ten Republicans in the House of Representatives to vote to impeach Trump in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers loses state Senate bid

Republican Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers has lost his bid for a state Senate

 seat to former state Sen. David Farnsworth

PHOENIX — Republican Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers lost his bid for a 

state Senate seat after refusing then-President Donald Trump’s pleas to help overturn 

the 2020 election results and testifying before Congress about the efforts.

Bowers tried to move to the state Senate because of term limits. He lost to former state 

Sen. David Farnsworth, who criticized him for refusing to help Trump or go along with a 

contentious 2021 “audit” that Republican leaders in the Senate commissioned.

Farnsworth automatically will win the Senate seat because no Democrat is running in the 

heavily Republican district.

Bowers faced an uphill battle in the eastern Phoenix suburb of Mesa, especially after the 

state Republican Party censured him following his June testimony before the panel 

investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on Congress.
