The trial for former “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett on charges that he faked a hate crime in Chicago a couple years ago got underway this week. When the trial began, Smollett’s attorney argued that the Osundairo brothers are “sophisticated” criminals that “did not like Jussie.” In other words, the defense’s argument seems to be that Smollett was set up by men he was around that night.
Fox News’ Matt Finn is covering the trial, and brought the other side of the story with testimony from one of the Osundairo brothers:
Who will the jury believe? Time will tell.
It doesn’t seem to be going well for Smollett.
