BREAKING: Trump Announces Trusted Ally, Mark Meadows Will Be New Chief Of Staff

On December 19, 2019, Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC), a trusted and reliable ally of President Trump, announced he would not run for Congress in 2020 and would be retiring at the end of his term.
The Hill reported on Meadows’s decision to retire – Meadows, a four-term lawmaker who represents part of western North Carolina, said in a statement that he “struggled” with leaving what he has long considered a “temporary job.”
“For everything, there is a season. After prayerful consideration and discussion with family, today I’m announcing that my time serving Western North Carolina in Congress will come to a close at the end of this term,” Meadows said. “This was a decision I struggled with greatly.”
“My work with President Trump and his administration is only beginning,” Meadows added. “This President has accomplished incredible results for the country in just 3 years, and I’m fully committed to staying in the fight with him and his team to build on those successes and deliver on his promises for the years to come. I’ve always said Congress is a temporary job, but the fight to return Washington, DC to its rightful owner, We The People, has only just begun.”
Only moments ago, President Trump announced that Congressman Mark Meadows will become his new White House Chief of Staff, saying, “I have long known and worked with Mark, and the relationship is a very good one….”

President Trump thanked his acting Chief Mick Mulvaney for “having served the served the Administration so well.” Trump assured everyone Mulvaney will not be leaving his administration, but will instead, become the “United States Special Envoy for Northern Ireland.”
