Germanistan : Intelligence Chief - Green movement infiltrated by left-wing extremists

Hamburg’s domestic intelligence boss Torsten Voss has alerted the German establishment to left-wing extremists infiltrating their ranks.

Those on the extreme left have used “socially broadly-accepted or widely-discussed issues in order to come into contact with establishment initiatives to establish their anti-constitutional positions,” Voss told journalists from Die Welt.

For example, the Interventionist Left (IL), who tend to be inclined toward violence, are now honing in on issues like environmental protectionism and high rents to blend in with mainstream leftists. For Voss, they’re doing this strategically to ‘invade democratic society via popular topics, like a creeping poison’.

The topic of the rescue of migrants is also said to be exploited by left-wing extremists.

In April, Hamburg’s Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, accused the left-wing extremist scene of using environmental issues as a way to market their ideas more effectively among the establishment left.

German constitutionalists have personally mentioned IL’s spokesperson, Emily Laquer, who in March organized the student strike in Hamburg which Greta Thunberg had been invited to speak at.

Last October, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution warned, “Since the end of 2014, the topic of ‘climate protection’ has increasingly come into the focus of left-wing extremists due to the political debate over a planned energy transition and the planned decommissioning of coal power plants.”

The Federal Office has also warned that the IL acts as a crucial link “within the left-wing extremist spectrum and between extremists and non-extremists”.
