David Hogg’s ‘Power Growing’ Among Younger Democrats After Ouster from DNC

The Democrats’ internal party divisions appear to be deepening after radical gun control activist David Hogg was voted out of his leadership role at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) last month.

However,  many younger Democrats are now calling Hogg’s departure a step in the right direction for a party in search of identity.

As Slay News reported, the DNC voted to remove Hogg as vice chair in May and called for new elections.

The move came after Hogg reportedly planned to spend millions backing progressive primary challengers against what he viewed as “ineffective” incumbents in Congress.

The decision has stirred both praise and frustration within the party’s younger ranks.

Some see Hogg’s removal as an opportunity to double down on aggressive primary challenges targeting establishment Democrats.

Many of those older Democrats are viewed as out of touch with the radical progressive base that Higg appeals to.

Hogg hinted at this strategy in a post on social media after the stunning primary victory of Zohran Mamdani in New York City’s mayoral race, writing:

“It’s gonna be a fun next couple years.”

He also took aim at Democrats who had supported former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, saying they should be primaried.

Even before Mamdani’s upset win, many progressive Democrats saw Hogg’s ouster as potentially energizing.

His organization, Leaders We Deserve, has been backing young progressive candidates across the country in a bid to overhaul the party’s establishment base.

But as some on the far-left look to reshape the party, others are walking away from it altogether.

In 2024, Audrey McNeal, a 22-year-old elected DNC delegate, announced she was quitting the Democratic Party and endorsing President Donald Trump.

Her decision, reported by Breitbart, was grounded in what she called a betrayal of core constitutional values.

“You see, after I was elected in March, I wanted answers on free speech, the border, and the economy,” McNeal said.

“But reflecting on my time at the DNC, I realized it was no longer the party of free speech and civil liberties it used to be.”

She condemned what she described as an opaque power grab by Democrat leadership, citing their move to install Kamala Harris as the 2024 presidential nominee by bypassing millions of voters and even their own delegates.

“That was a transaction that was concealed,” she said.

“And now I’m happy to say that I’m officially joining the Republican Party as a constitutional conservative.”

The timing of Hogg’s removal comes as Democrats face growing signs of political instability and deep ideological fractures.

According to a CBS News poll cited by Breitbart, a majority of Democrat voters report feeling “frustrated” with their party’s handling of President Donald Trump’s leadership.

The Democrat base is clearly restless, the leadership is divided, and the party’s brand is suffering.

“All of this comes as internal polling shows the Democrat Party is in a complete brand collapse,” A CBS News report concluded.

Top Ukraine Ally Quits Congress.

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: Representative Don Bacon (R-NE), an outspoken proponent of U.S. military assistance for Ukraine, announced he will not seek re-election in 2026.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: Rep. Don Bacon, President Donald J. Trump, and other congressional Republicans.

📍WHEN & WHERE: Announcement made Monday; Bacon represents Nebraska’s second congressional district.

💬KEY QUOTE: “After 30 years in the Air Force and 10 years in Congress, it’s time to spend my future with the love of my life, our four kids, and our wonderful grandchildren. Thank you, Nebraska!” – Don Bacon

🎯IMPACT: Bacon’s retirement opens up a key battleground district for Democrats ahead of the 2026 midterms. The Nebraska Republican’s exit from Congress also marks a significant blow for the coalition of Democrats and Republicans who continually insist on propping up Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his ongoing conflict with Russia.

IN FULL

Representative Don Bacon (R-NE), a key House Republican ally of Ukraine who has continually pushed for increased American military assistance for the Eastern European country, announced Monday that he will not seek re-election in 2026. Bacon, who has represented Nebraska‘s second congressional district since 2017, stated his intention to focus on his family. “After 30 years in the Air Force and 10 years in Congress, it’s time to spend my future with the love of my life, our four kids, and our wonderful grandchildren. Thank you, Nebraska!” Bacon said.

The Nebraska Republican has been one of just a handful of GOP lawmakers who have often worked to undermine President Donald J. Trump‘s America First agenda in Congress. While Bacon ultimately voted for President Trump’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill‘ last month, he has often expressed concerns about specific provisions. Currently, Bacon is among a group of House Republicans who could potentially derail the legislation’s final passage in the lower chamber later this week.

A so-called ‘moderate’ Republican, Bacon has on occasion served as a foil to Trump’s agenda in the House. Most recently, he indicated opposition to a White House rescission proposal if it included cuts to an AIDS program. Additionally, Bacon was the only Republican to vote against a House bill that would make Trump’s name change for the Gulf of America permanent.

Bacon has criticized Trump’s stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, both taking umbrage with Trump’s pursuit of an end to the conflict and mounting Republican opposition to further supplying military aid.

In a March post on X (formerly Twitter), Bacon declared, “real Republicans know that Putin’s Russia hates the West and freedom. We also know that Ukraine wants democracy, free markets and rule of law. We stand with right vs evil. Reagan, Churchill, Eisenhower… that is our legacy. I won’t walk away from it.” Notably, Bacon announced his retirement just over three months after the post.

Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, which former Vice President Kamala Harris won by nearly five percentage points in 2024, remains a key target for Democrats in the upcoming 2026 midterms. The state is one of two that splits its Electoral College votes by congressional district. Bacon narrowly won re-election in 2024 by less than two percentage points.

El Salvador Wants to Deport Gang Members to France. Here’s Why…

PULSE POINTS

❓WHAT HAPPENED: El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele has said he is willing to deport gang members and illegal aliens incarcerated in his country’s Center for the Confinement of Terrorism (CECOT) super-prison to France, after a Paris Fashion Week show paid tribute to its inmates.

👤WHO WAS INVOLVED: President Bukele, designer Willy Chavarria, models at the Paris Fashion Week.

📍WHEN & WHERE: June 2025, during Paris Fashion Week in France.

💬KEY QUOTE: “We’re ready to ship them all to Paris whenever we get the green light from the French government.” – Nayib Bukele

🎯IMPACT: The controversy highlights the growing focus on and disdain for Bukele, who has bucked the increasingly soft Western approach to criminal justice in favor of mass incarceration—and taken El Salvador from being one of the most dangerous countries in the western hemisphere to one of the safest in the process.

IN FULL

El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele issued a sharp response after a Paris Fashion Week show appeared to criticize his administration’s treatment of inmates at the Center for the Confinement of Terrorism (CECOT) super-prison, which recently began accepting illegal aliens from the U.S. Bukele accused the show of “glorifying criminals” and said he was ready to send CECOT inmates to France.

The controversy began when designer Willy Chavarria showcased a collection featuring models wearing white T-shirts and shorts resembling prison uniforms. The models reenacted scenes reminiscent of images from CECOT, where inmates are often shown kneeling with their heads bowed. Chavarria’s show, in collaboration with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), also featured political messaging, including invitations styled like immigration summons.

Bukele responded on X, saying, “We’re ready to ship them all to Paris whenever we get the green light from the French government.” In a follow-up post, he shared a video of an American woman crying after being constantly harassed in Paris, captioning it, “This is the result of glorifying criminals in Paris. He who spares the wolf sacrifices the sheep.”

CECOT houses thousands of gang members, including those from MS-13 and the 18th Street Gang. Bukele often promotes the facility as part of his successful crackdown on the gang violence that has plagued El Salvador for years, while liberals who favor a soft-on-crime “restorative justice” approach have long railed against it. This antipathy increased in the West after Bukele offered to host illegal aliens in the U.S. and potentially even U.S. criminals at the facility.

Report: Iranian Official Says Tehran Deporting 8,000 Afghans a Day

An Iranian border governor revealed this week, Afghan news outlets relayed, that Iran has dramatically increased the rate of mass deportations of Afghans, resulting in over 8,000 repatriations a day.

The Afghan news agency Khaama Press quoted the governor of Taybad, a city on the border with Afghanistan, on Sunday stating that Iran has successfully deported over 95,000 people in the past week. He claimed, however, that many of those being returned to their home country had chosen to leave Iran and that Tehran was following appropriate legal protocol before removing those in question.

The reported deportations are part of a much large expulsion of Afghans out of neighboring states, most prominently Iran and Afghanistan. Following the collapse of the U.S.-backed government in the country in 2021 — and the end of the 20-year Afghan War — the victorious Taliban terrorist organization repeatedly urged Afghan nationals abroad to return home, particularly those with specialized skills such as doctors and engineers. Top Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid conceded in a press conference shortly after the fall of Kabul, “we need their expertise,” referring to the thousands storming Kabul’s international airport desperately seeking to flee the terrorist organization’s rule.

While the United Nations urged neighboring countries to welcome the few Afghans who successfully escaped Taliban rule at the time, that call went largely unheeded. Iran was among the most forceful in implementing mass deportation policies in the early days of the Taliban regime. The number of Afghans displaced around the world, and especially in Pakistan and Iran, has not yet reduced enough to halt the mass deportation operations, however.

The governor Khaama Press quoted, Hussein Jamshidi of Taybad, reportedly said the 8,000 a day being deported are being processed through one border crossing alone, Dogharoon.

“The heightened deportation efforts have targeted migrants from 11 provinces, with a particular focus on those living in precarious conditions without proper documentation,” Khaama reported. “The move is part of Iran’s broader policy aimed at improving border security and regulating the presence of undocumented migrants in the country.”

Jamshidi reportedly claimed that “over 90% of Afghan migrants left voluntarily, suggesting that most chose to return home rather than face further legal challenges in Iran.”

The Afghan outlet Tolo News estimated that the number of deportees may be significantly higher. Citing “reports,” the news agency claimed that “up to 30,000 people are entering the country daily through the Islam Qala border alone.”

The jihadist Taliban regime, which has experienced mixed support from and conflict with its Iranian neighbors, described the situation as a “migrant crisis” in its state media coverage. The Taliban-run Bakhtar News Agency reported on Sunday that the Taliban “refugees and repatriation minister” met with United Nations officials and demanded the scheduling of a meeting with Iranian officials present to resolve the situation.

Taliban terrorist Mawlavi Abdul Kabir reportedly “reiterated Afghanistan’s readiness to cooperate fully with the U.N. and its agencies and once again underscored the urgency of holding a trilateral summit with Iran and the United Nations to coordinate on migration challenges.”

The U.N. officials estimated that over “one million Afghans have returned from Pakistan and Iran — a number that continues to rise” and indicated that “expulsions from Iran have sharply increased.”

Another Taliban official, prime minister office deputy Abdul Salam Hanafi, visited the Iranian border on Sunday and demanded Tehran treat Afghan nationals more humanely.

“Islamic and neighborly obligations require Iran to behave in an Islamic manner toward migrants. There should be no oppression, and no rights should be violated. These responsibilities must be respected,” Hanafi declared, according to the Afghan outlet Tolo News.

“We are working to ensure that neither the rights of any Afghan are denied nor their possessions left behind,” Hanafi added.

Tolo News quoted deported Afghans who described abuse and extortion at the hands of Iranian border officers. One man stated that the Iranians “insult and humiliate us” in the process.

“The intensification of forced and large-scale deportations of Afghan migrants by the Islamic Republic of Iran has triggered a wave of concern and hardship among Afghan refugees,” Afghan refugee rights activist Juma Khan Poyel told Tolo News. “Without a doubt, this action contradicts all international conventions and documents related to migrants’ rights and the principles of good neighborliness.”

Even some within Iran have questioned the reported brutality of the deportations. A former Foreign Ministry official, Rasoul Mousavi, published a commentary shared by Khaama on Monday in which he encouraged a “more humane, patient, and dignity-based approach” for Afghans, emphasizing that they were unlikely to be related to “enemy spies,” a reference to Israel and the United States. Mousavi was apparently referencing the arrests of several Afghans during the brief war between Israel and Iran this month in which the Iranian regime claimed those arrested had “confessed” to working with Jerusalem.

“Following a ceasefire agreement with Israel, Iran has notably escalated its deportation of Afghan migrants,” Khaama Press observed.

Repatriations have long been one of the Taliban’s largest challenges in restoring functionality to the Afghan state. In early June, Taliban officials claimed that they had documented the return of over 5 million Afghan citizens to the country; the United Nations estimates that 6 million people are internally displaced within Afghanistan.

Many of those repatriated returned hastily to the country in a wave of deportations from Pakistan in 2023. The Pakistani government abruptly ordered 2 million previously tolerated Afghan refugees to leave the country, giving them a month to do so.

Investigation Uncovers Massive Medicare Fraud

DME stands for Durable Medical Equipment. It's a class of medical gear which attracts a lot of fraud because Medicare agrees to pay 80% of the cost of any DME, such as a wheelchair, that is prescribed by a physician. The other factor that makes this kind of fraud appealing to criminals is that there is so much money and so many legitimate orders being submitted that it's often difficult to sort the fraud from the legitimate claims. But in this particular case, the people behind the fraud were so greedy that the sheer number of false claims caught people's attention.

Linda Hennis was checking her Medicare statement in January when she noticed something strange: It said a company she had never heard of had been paid about $12,000 for sending her 2,000 urinary catheters.

But she had never needed, or received, any catheters.

Ms. Hennis, a retired nurse who lives in a suburb of Chicago, noticed that the company selling the plastic tubes was called Pretty in Pink Boutique, and it was based in Texas. “There’s a mistake here,” Ms. Hennis recalled thinking.

She is among more than 450,000 Medicare beneficiaries whose accounts were billed for urinary catheters in 2023, up from about 50,000 in previous years...

Pretty in Pink Boutique, which billed Medicare at least $267 million for catheters between October 2022 and December 2023, could not be reached by phone.

That report and similar ones from Feb. 2024 were the first signs that a massive Medicare fraud was taking place. At the time it was estimated the total could be as high as $2 billion. Today, we're finding out that was a big underestimate. The total fraud from this one group of criminals is now estimated to be more than $10 billion.

When hundreds of thousands of people enrolled in Medicare were billed for expensive medical equipment they never asked for in 2023, it was part of a $10.6 billion fraud, among the largest such schemes in the program’s history, federal prosecutors said this week.

The scheme was carried out by 11 defendants, including citizens of the United States, Estonia and the Czech Republic, who worked for a criminal organization based in Russia, according to an indictment unsealed in the Eastern District of New York on Thursday.

The core of the fraud was the purchase of companies who had already been approved to sell medical equipment by Medicare. The criminals simply bought these companies outright and then used them to place millions of fraudulent claims.

The two-year investigation, dubbed Operation Gold Rush, uncovered a conspiracy to purchase more than 30 small health care supply companies that were already enrolled with Medicare, officials said. Conspirators then used those companies to submit a flood of claims for urinary catheters, continuous glucose monitors and other supplies that were not medically necessary, law enforcement officials allege.

The numbers were often eye-popping. Beginning in late 2022, the companies collectively submitted fraudulent claims to Medicare for more than 1 billion urinary catheters, officials said.

More than 7,000 doctors names were used to make the fraudulent orders without their knowledge. Then the bills would show up on the records of individual people whose information had been stolen and sold to the fraudsters.

The alleged conspirators then were able to obtain sensitive Medicare information for about 1.2 million Americans, officials said.

“We have seen instances where Medicare beneficiary information can be bought and sold on LinkedIn, on Craigslist,” Bledsoe said. “It is available if you know where to look, and it’s not too hard to run across it.”

The federal government caught on to the fraud in time to prevent most of the money being sent out to pay for medical equipment that didn't exist. However, lots of people have supplemental Medicare insurance which covers the 20% of the costs that Medicare does not pay. Those companies are required to pay any bill submitted to them, even if Medicare itself has stopped payment. And that's where the fraudsters were able to come up with nearly a billion dollars.

The Operation Gold Rush investigation was just one of several medical fraud cases revealed today. For instance:

74 defendants, including 44 licensed medical professionals, were charged across 58 cases in connection with the alleged illegal diversion of over 15 million pills of prescription opioids and other controlled substances. For example, five defendants associated with one Texas pharmacy were charged with the unlawful distribution of over 3 million opioid pills. As alleged, the defendants conspired to distribute massive quantities of oxycodone, hydrocodone, and carisoprodol, which were subsequently trafficked by street-level drug dealers, generating large profits for the defendants.

The total fraud for all of the schemes was an estimated $14.6 billion. Fortunately, not all of that money was lost but the scale of the fraud suggests a lot of criminals see the health care system as an easy target.

D-I-C-K Move! Chuck Schumer BOLTS After Forcing Aides to Spend 16 HOURS Reading Big Beautiful Bill Aloud

When people show you who they really are, believe them.

Every time we say that, we point out that we say it a lot, probably because in the last decade, many powerful people in both parties have started to reveal themselves, and it's rarely a good thing. For example, Chuck Schumer threw a big ol' fit about reading the Big Beautiful Bill, and then proceeded to leave after his efforts forced aides to sit reading it aloud for SIXTEEN HOURS.

So not only did he do nothing but throw a fit, but then he made the little people do all the work.Classy as ever, Chuckles. We agree, every bill should be read aloud, BUT legislators should stay to hear it. Not to mention, Democrats didn't care about giant bills being read or not until they were no longer the majority party passing them. Where were Chuck's concerns when they were pushing Biden's disgusting 'Inflation Reduction Act' through'

Where was he when Nancy Pelosi insisted they had to pass it so we'd know what's In it?

That's the real issue here.Agreed.Or you know, he could have at least stayed to listen.

CNN in Hot Water With Trump Admin After Promoting App That Tracks the Location of ICE Agents: ‘Sickening’

Trump administration officials are seething after CNN reported on "ICEBlock," a new app designed to alert illegal immigrants to the nearby presence of ICE agents.

CNN helped promote the app, currently utilized by just 20,000 users who are mostly confined to the Los Angeles area, in a report on Monday. With the network's help, that number will almost certainly skyrocket.

Joshua Aaron, the app's developer, told the outlet he felt compelled to design something after seeing illegal alien arrests that reminded him of Nazi Germany. Because, of course.

“When I saw what was happening in this country, I wanted to do something to fight back,” Aaron said.

ICEBlock allows users to add a pin on a map showing where they spotted agents. They're also capable of adding details about the agent's appearance, such as what they're wearing and what they're driving.

Is it any wonder ICE agents are opting for masks?

Aaron added a disclaimer to his app stating, "It is not to be used for the purposes of inciting violence or interfering with law enforcement.”

Wink, wink. But yeah, he wants it to be used to "fight back."

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons was quick to respond to the CNN report, calling it "reckless and irresponsible." Which, if you've watched the network over the past two decades, is essentially their modus operandi.

“Advertising an app that basically paints a target on federal law enforcement officers’ backs is sickening,” Lyons said in a statement. “My officers and agents are already facing a 500% increase in assaults, and going on live television to announce an app that lets anyone zero in on their locations is like inviting violence against them with a national megaphone.”

Legacy media promoting something that could incite violence? Promoting an app that protects violent, illegal criminals? Nah. Couldn't be.

Tricia McLaughlin, the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), also slammed CNN for their poor judgment.

"Don't go after our ICE law enforcement. It's disgusting. It's wrong, and is un-American!" she said, while also pointing out that apps like ICEBlock are "absolutely obstructing justice."

Let's expand on the 'obstructing justice' facet. The app allows users to remain anonymous, which seems like a vague admission that the activity they are engaged in is illegal. Could they be tracked by DHS, DOJ, or NSA officials themselves?

The irony in the same individuals crying about ICE agents wearing masks during raids, allowing people to report the location and identifying features of law enforcement anonymously, is rich. According to their rules, this is an admission of criminality and an example of cowardice.

If CNN is going to promote an app, it should inform illegals about CBP One. The Trump administration redesigned the CBP One app into a self-deportation program for those seeking to return to their home country and avoid the hassle of getting arrested.
