A jokester on the internet posted the following prediction about the World Cup:
Although his prediction failed to materialize, it wasn’t far off — but it’s London, not Paris, that descended into violence after Morocco suffered a 2-0 defeat to France in the FIFA World Cup on Thursday.
It was a chilling scene after the sun set and showed just how far England has fallen due to their unfettered immigration policies. It barely seems like the stiff upper lip Britain of old.

As the tweet at the beginning of this story shows, many thought it was the French capital that would get hit — they’ve allowed insane immigration, too — but they forgot about good old Britannia:
As a result [of Morocco’s loss], many feared Paris would erupt into riots, especially after the chaos that followed Paris Saint-Germain's UEFA Champions League victory over Arsenal in May.
Instead, images and videos from Edgware Road in northwest London showed police clashing with large crowds as smoke billowed through the streets and debris littered the roadway.
Riot police, equipped with shields and body armor, tried to contain the crowds as they clashed with people launching fireworks and throwing debris. One video also appeared to show an officer down.
The officer described appears to have been felled by injuries during the melee; it’s unclear how serious his condition is, but it’s disturbing to witness:
When I think of London, I imagine double-decker red buses, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, and scones with clotted cream. Those days appear to be over.
I admit to having taken an Ancestry DNA test. I was secretly hoping that I’d have an exotic past, with a little Italian, maybe some Viking, and perhaps something totally unexpected, but nope: I was all Scottish/English/Irish, with a little Scandinavian thrown in. It saddens me to see the decline that has overtaken my ancestors’ country.
We regularly have mayhem too here in this country after championship games are decided— most recently the outbursts in NYC after the Knicks won the NBA championship in June.
And, to be fair, the Brits have their own past bad behavior to account for. The infamous "soccer hooligans" from the 1970s to the 1990s brought rowdiness and drunken behavior to matches all across Europe. But the U.K. rightfully cracked down on those ruffians, and they rarely make news anymore.
As bad as those are — and I certainly don’t condone them — the London riots feel different, because they’re about a team that is not even English and has nothing to do with the almost 2,000-year old Londinium.
For this, and so many other reasons, it certainly feels like we’re watching the end of an empire in real-time. Put Britain on suicide watch, because they’re slowly killing themselves.
