HAHA – DSA candidate caught LYING after attacking her opponent for lying about her extreme positions

DSA candidate for governor of Wisconsin, Francesca Hong, had her spokeswoman call her opponent a liar for accusing Hong of wanting to abolish the Senate.

But it turns out, there’s only one liar here and it isn’t Republican candidate for governor Tom Tiffany.

Here’s the story:

The national co-chair for the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) was mocked by conservatives on Sunday after she proudly confirmed many of the DSA’s policy ideas, including abolishing the Senate, eliminating prisons and getting rid of national borders, among others.

Speaking to Fox News’ Shannon Bream, Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) national co-chair Megan Romer fired off a series of “yes” and “true” responses when asked whether the organization’s platform calls for dismantling major American institutions.

“You’re advocating for abolishing the Senate?” Bream asked.

“True,” Romer responded.


Tom Tiffany, a Republican running for governor in Wisconsin, said the remarks from Romer sounded like democratic socialist Francesca Hong, who is running in the state’s Democratic gubernatorial primary.

“This sounds a lot like DSA-backed @FrancescaHongWI. Does she want to abolish the police? Yep. Does she want to abolish prisons? Absolutely. Did she call for abolishing the U.S. Senate? Yes. Socialism is knocking on Wisconsin’s door. This November, we slam it shut,” Tiffany wrote.

And here’s the lie from Hong:

When reached for comment, a spokesperson for Hong rejected Tiffany’s accusations.

“Tom Tiffany is once again telling lies and inventing quotes, because he can’t run on his record. Rep. Hong has never called for abolishing the U.S. Senate. Tiffany cannot produce a single statement where she did, because it doesn’t exist.

Except, it does exist and she is on record doing exactly what Tiffany said:
