The co-chair of the DSA, Megan Romer, appeared on Fox News to defend the organization’s platform that calls for abolishing the presidency, the Supreme Court, the Senate, ICE, borders, prison, and defunding the Pentagon. The mask is fully off the communists.
Things are getting iffy within the confines of the Democratic Party as the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) fights to take full control of the leftists. The co-chair of the infiltrating organization was brazen enough to go on Fox News Sunday to call for abolishing the Senate, ICE, national borders, prisons, and defunding the Pentagon, just for starters. The DSA is ambitious if nothing else, and the communist group’s sweeping agenda is being put out there for all to see as ideological divisions within the Democratic Party continue to rip it apart.

DSA’s Platform to Dismantle America
Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) national Co-Chair Megan Romer had the temerity to speak with Fox News’ Shannon Bream about the organization’s plans. She barked “yes” and “true” responses when she was questioned about the DSA’s platform that calls for the dismantling of major American institutions.
“[You’re advocating for] abolish[ing] the Senate?” Bream candidly asked.
“True,” Romer responded, showcasing a lack of intellectual depth and moral clarity.
Romer also went on to affirm the organization’s support for eliminating the presidency and the Supreme Court, abolishing ICE, doing away with borders altogether while granting mass amnesty, defunding the Pentagon, getting rid of prisons, and taking large corporations and giving them to the public. She even went so far as to assert that getting rid of borders and prisons were part of the long-term vision of DSA.
The communist group is not making five-year plans; they are making 50-year plans. It’s what patient communists do and have always done.
Romer branded the Senate as “an anachronistic institution” that was designed to limit the influence of ordinary Americans, while calling for its elimination. Getting rid of the Senate would be a huge step toward communist rule.
“It comes from the British House of Lords,” she claimed.
That’s not entirely correct. The idea of the US Senate comes from ancient Rome, British parliamentary traditions, and the Constitutional Convention of 1787. The framers (Founders) wanted a small, wise group to cool hot and fast laws made by the people’s House.
“The Senate was part of the system that was made to make sure that the people didn’t have too much of a say. So, we want to expand Congress significantly, but make it a unicameral legislature,” Romer continued.
Again, a half-truth. It was meant to prevent one or a group of politicians from having too much control and sway in our government. That is why we have both the House and the Senate in the Legislative Branch to balance each other out. As a whole, it represents the people as intended. Take one away, and you let one body be in control of the entire branch – an authoritarian concept that the Founders would have found abhorrent. They are there for checks and balances.
Emptying the Prisons
Romer’s take on prisons, as well as our military and ICE, is jaw-dropping and moronic.
“If we talk about abolishing prisons, then does that make society better?” Bream asked her. “I mean, is there anybody that should be incarcerated? I mean rapists, child predators, murderers?”
Romer elaborated on the DSA’s position, making no sense whatsoever.
“So, the long-term plan when we think about most people who are in prison, they are mostly in prison for crimes of poverty,” she contended.
“But that’s not who I’m talking about,” Bream interjected. “I’m talking about the murderers and rapists.”
“I hear you,” Romer responded. “When we get rid of this need for crimes of poverty to exist, when we get rid of that destabilizing force that creates so many people who living in desperate situations and doing desperate things. That brings those numbers down to very small numbers, and then we can collectively decide what we do with those people. I suspect it won’t look like the prison system as we know it today.”
“Okay, but you do think some people need to be away from society,” Bream said.
“Some people are not able to be functional members of society, that’s true,” Romer commented. “But what does that look like to keep the rest of us safe? We’re talking about safety; we’re not talking about punishment; we are talking about making sure that we are safe, everybody is safe, and everybody maintains their dignity.”
Having no prisons and setting criminals free is the exact opposite of safety, and she knows it. It’s anarchy and chaos, which is exactly the point.
Hijacking the Democratic Party
Romer went on to also defend the DSA’s decision to field candidates on the Democratic ballot line despite criticism from party leaders who argue the organization should build its own political party, according to Fox News.
“The two parties have, over years and decades, created a system where ballot line access is extremely difficult for third parties,” Romer remarked.
“We run on the Democratic ballot line where it makes sense. We run Independents sometimes where that is a viable possibility, but it’s a ballot line. What matters is what the voters think, and the voters are overwhelmingly choosing our candidates,” she claimed.
Her words come as the DSA is making its move to, in effect, take over the Democratic Party. The move has some Democrats warning about the infiltration, but it may be far too late for that concern. They birthed and nurtured this communist beast, and it is eating them from within.
The stance of the party will definitely alienate many Americans, and that has Democrats spooked, but it has Republicans celebrating.
