Despite the World Economic Forum lauding China’s “green energy” prowess, the communist nation pollutes itself and others to achieve their environmental status. China has been named the most pollution nation on earth, but their international mining operations have begun to expand the “environmental destruction” beyond their own borders. Recently, the CCP has been caught influencing U.S. judges to embrace Chinese energy and industry while reducing reliance on domestic U.S. sources.
According to the U.S. State Department, “The People’s Republic of China (PRC) is the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases; the largest source of marine debris; the worst perpetrators of illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; and the world’s largest consumer of trafficked wildlife and timber products. While the Chinese people have suffered the worst environmental impacts of its actions, Beijing also threatens the global economy and global health by unsustainably exploiting natural resources and exporting its willful disregard for the environment through its One Belt One Road initiative. Tragically, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) represses civil society and a free press, slowing changes that would benefit its citizens and people all over the world.”
China appears to be attempting to sidestep its bad environmental practices with propaganda.
“A national security group is urging Congress to investigate a prominent environmental-law nonprofit over past partnerships and programming ties with Chinese government-linked organizations, according to a report sent to lawmakers on Tuesday by State Armor, a national security organization,” Fox News said Thursday. “The Environmental Law Institute, or ELI, has trained more than 2,000 American judges on environmental law through its Climate Judiciary Project since 2018, according to its website. During its decades of China-related work, the organization cultivated relationships with entities the report described as Chinese government-affiliated, CCP-linked or tied to China’s military research ecosystem, according to State Armor.”
China Uncensored recently reported how CCP-connected companies operate mines in multiple countries, mines which repeatedly fail to prevent releases of dangerous substances into the environment. These mines produce raw materials which are used to make “green energy technologies.”
“One country in particular has been especially hit hard by horrendous Chinese mining practices, Zambia. You see, Zambia’s Africa’s second largest copper producer, and China wants a huge slice of it,” China Uncensored said. “In 2023, Chinese state-run company, China Non-Ferris Metals Industry Group, announced a $1.3 billion investment in Zambia across diverse sectors, including Zambia’s copper sector. Its subsidiary, Sino Metals Leech Zambia, mines there. But in February of last year, a dam holding toxic waste from its copper mine collapsed, and the results are truly awful.”
The collapsed dam reportedly released arsenic, cyanide, uranium, lead, mercury and more into the environment.
“The river’s waters became acidic enough to dissolve flesh,” China Uncensored said. “…locals have reported illnesses of various kinds, including rashes, blood in urine, chest tightness, nose bleeds, and blurred eyesight after exposure to the waste.”
China and Zambia have moved into coverup mode, according to China Uncensored.
“…since Zambia has tons of Chinese economic interests and debt, the Zambian government has worked with Sino metals to silence victims. One of the ways they’ve been doing that is by getting people to sign non-disclosure agreements that ban talking about the spill, taking legal action against sinometals and even sharing what was in the NDAs, the ones that are still alive after drinking that water. That is the Zambian government incentivizes people to sign NDAs by offering money. But guess what? According to Human Rights Watch, some people didn’t receive the promised compensation.”
China expert Winston Sterzel reported on China’s domestic “green” movement, which revolved around stapling fake leaves to dead trees, and painting the ground green.
When Sterzel lived in China, him and his business partner Matthew Tye discussed the pollution and fake environmental initiatives which plague the Communist country.
Instead of actually cleaning up their industrial practices, China has opted for brainwashing and propaganda.
On Thursday political commentator Amuse reported on the CCP operation to undermine U.S. energy and industry in favor of its own:
LAWFARE: NGO affiliated with China’s CCP and PLA has been allowed to train over 2,000 American judges to undermine national security by constraining domestic energy producers and industrial expansion and simultaneously pushing America toward dependence upon energy sources dominated by the PRC. State Armor is now urging Congress to investigate. How did foreign-connected training reach our courts, and who let it happen?
