Is New CBS Boss Bari Weiss About To Shake Things Up At CNN Too?

There’s no question that Bari Weiss has shaken things up at CBS News since she took over as editor-in-chief last October.

Following a $16 million settlement with President Donald Trump over a deceptively edited “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris in 2024, a change in leadership was all but guaranteed.

And now, rumors are starting to spread that Weiss might be given the opportunity to take on a similar challenge at CNN.

Breitbart covered the latest murmurs, though without much faith that it would do any good:

Just weeks after reports claimed that Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison was disappointed in CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, we get the news that he intends to add to her duties by placing her in charge of editorial operations at far-left CNN after Paramount’s merger with Warner Bros-Discovery is complete.

Who knows what’s true?

Who cares?

Nothing will change.

Nevertheless, this news will, of course, terrify and outrage everyone at CNN (a far-left propaganda outlet that spreads conspiracy theories and political violence) because even though Bari Weiss is a gay Democrat who hates President Trump and Breitbart News, she is still not pure enough for a bunch of entitled, spoiled, left-wing liars.

David Ellison is obviously a very smart guy, but for a smart guy, he has no idea what he is up against in his stated desire to fix the left-wing bias at CBS and soon CNN.

Nevertheless, Weiss has already made her mark on CBS News, including with the recent decision to fire “60 Minutes” personality Scott Pelley after he reportedly went on a tirade against the new leadership during a staff meeting.

Her short tenure in the current role has already opened her up to a wide range of feedback, with many Americans who were fed up with the mainstream media expressing praise for her efforts:

Meanwhile, here’s what far-left pundits are saying about her:

Here’s what the New York Post reported about Weiss’ potential new gig at CNN:

CBS News boss Bari Weiss is likely to gain editorial oversight of CNN if and when Paramount Skydance’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery is approved, according to a report.

Paramount executives are said to have held preliminary discussions with several candidates who would come in and run the business-side operations next to Weiss while she continues to oversee editorial.

The company is considering several big names, including current CNN CEO Mark Thompson, NBCUniversal News Group chairman Cesar Conde and former NBC News chief Noah Oppenheim, Axios reported.

Ben Sherwood, currently CEO of Daily Beast, and former CBS News president David Rhodes are also under consideration, according to the report.
