Judge reprimanded for noisy sex in chambers revealed as Obama appointee who sentenced Todd Chrisley

A married judge who had noisy sex with a top cop in her court chambers has been named as a Barack Obama appointee who meted out a tough sentence to reality star Todd Chrisley.

Judge Eleanor Ross, of the Atlanta-based US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, was handed a private dressing-down after the alleged steamy affair with a police commander within earshot of law clerks, reported Bloomberg.

The 58-year-old, who was nominated by President Obama and confirmed by the Senate in 2014, wasn’t named in the special judicial conduct committee’s report dated May 22.

Eleanor Ross speaks during her 2014 confirmation hearing as her husband Judge Brian Ross, right, looks on.

“This corrupt judge who couldn’t focus on our case because she was too busy clapping dem cheeks in her chambers … she needs to be impeached and we will work with Congress and our legal team to see that this happens,” Chrisley wrote on Instagram.

The judge had sex in “chambers and during business hours,” demonstrating “a gross lack of judgement,” over the course of the two-year relationship between 2023 and 2025, according to the report.

The affair resulted in a “chambers workplace that was extremely uncomfortable and troubling for clerks,” according to the report.

Her relationship with an unidentified police department commander also created a “conflict-of-interest risk,” the report said.

The frisky jurist was also found to have improperly attended a partisan political event hosted by a district attorney’s campaign, and to have made false statements to judges investigating her conduct.

Judge Ross, the first black woman to serve as a judge on the Northern District of Georgia, previously served as a state court judge, a federal prosecutor in the district, and a prosecutor in the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.

Ross also presided over the 2022 trial of reality TV star Todd Chrisley.

She also presided over the 2022 trial of reality TV star Todd Chrisley, who was found guilty of federal charges including bank fraud, tax evasion, and wire fraud.

Ross sentenced him to 12 years in federal prison, but President Trump later pardoned him.

She also previously dismissed a 2020 lawsuit filed by Georgia’s two Republican senators challenging mail-in ballot procedures.

Chrisley was found guilty of federal charges including bank fraud, tax evasion, and wire fraud in Ross’ courtroom in 2022.

Chrisley took to social media on Wednesday to name Ross.

Judge Ross previously introduced her husband Brian, a former Clayton County prosecutor and current Georgia state court judge, during her 2014 Senate confirmation hearing.

The May 22 order was an affirmation of a February misconduct finding by the US Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit’s judicial council.

The allegations were first made in a special committee report in December, but did not name the judge.

The district court didn’t immediately return a request for comment Thursday.
