On Saturday, protesters gathered in Minneapolis because Trump is still president, because the government is enforcing the laws, and because it involved days that end with the letter “y.” The vocationally-challenged residents were demonstrating yet again, and attending the gathering was Turning Point USA reporter Savanah Hernandez. As has been a common occurrence with these leftist protests, the appearance of anyone not in lockstep with the outrage merchants is justification for violence.
During the gathering, Hernandez became surrounded by a mob, and after engaging with the crowd, she attempted to extract herself, but she was trailed and hectored as she did. At one point, she was accosted by another female, and then moments later, when she had almost escaped from the melee, she was blindsided by a larger male, knocking her clearly to the ground.
I didn't speak a word to him all day yet he repeatedly called me a bitch and very clearly looks like he wanted to violently hurt me even worse than he did.
I'm happy to report that charges will be brought against this man, his wife and daughter.
The middle-aged individual who slammed into Henandez was Chris Ostroushko, a known entity in the area who has been elevated by the media due to his activism. The revealing aspect is how this is the very type of individual the activist press celebrates, elevating them to a level of some regard and, in the process, emboldening them to expand their resistance aggression.
The corpulent Ostroushko, who has an empty brainpan to match his vacant pate, has established his online stature by going with the name “Minnesota Angry Man,” and it's apparently a family effort. His progeny proves the apple does not rot far from the tree, as she is no less antagonistic, going under the handle “MN Angry Daughter.” This resistance clan has clearly been encouraged to ramp up their aggression, as the press literally justified their outrage.
Tim Miller, one of the stunted crew members of the Bad Ship The Bulwark, was enamored of this man and his unhinged countenance. He had Ostroushko on his vid-cast, giving him the platform to spew his rage.
Also swooning over this unhinged father figure (his figure appears to be “oval”) was Jen Psaki. She first raved about a video clip on her podcast in which Ostroushko barked profanities in a mook-on-the-street interview, clearly impressed by his monosyllabic locution. She then invited him on for a segment on her MS NOW show, and this is where the real comedy emerges.
Despite his attesting boldly to his “Angry Man” persona, there was Chris, professing his desire for a peaceful familyhood on the planet. As we have come to expect from these Coexist proselytizers, that platform is a command to instill in others, not a lifestyle guidepost for themselves. They want others to be warm and accepting in a gentile fashion, and anyone not properly subscribing to this doctrine should be pummeled into peaceful submission.
A longer video from the weekend displays this bifurcated blueprint. When Hernandez was attempting to get herself out of the pinned position by a fenceline, she was trailed and accosted by another female. This person was Ostroushko’s daughter, Paige, who has realized the bad look this became for her household and has begun erasing her social media history.
The silence over this episode has been glaring. Of course, Miller and Psaki had nothing to say about this development with the man they gleefully touted on their platforms. But the broader silence has been notable as well. Where is the press outraged that a reporter has been attacked in this fashion? Where are the legion of feminists, activists, and Democrats condemning the attack on a female by a burly aggressor?
As we have come to expect, the usual dogma from these sources evaporates anytime the contemptible acts are committed by their own side, and that silence is compounded when those acts are directed at those who are right of center on the political scale. Suddenly, the aggressions against women are far less rabid, and the threats against the press and the First Amendment evaporate.
Once again, we see what makes the liberal Left better than all others – it is because they have twice as many standards.
