Girl, 12, dies after savage fight with fellow student at school bus stop: ‘Oh my God, Jada!’

A 12-year-old student has died after she was filmed brawling with another girl after being ordered off their school bus, authorities in Georgia have said.

Jada West died from a brain injury days after collapsing following March 5’s savage brawl near her home in Villa Rica, just outside Atlanta, Fox 5 reported.

Sickening cellphone video shared on Facebook by West’s aunt, De’Quala McClendon, shows her and another girl appearing to argue over being kicked off the bus around 5 p.m.

Jada West, 12, died following a fight with a classmate after getting off the school bus on March 5.

“She done made all these people get off the bus,” the person recording is heard saying, as West says she doesn’t know the person she was arguing with.

“Who is gonna fight you over some noise?” another onlooker says as the pair, students at Mason Creek Middle School, exchange more words.

“Everybody know I kick a– so please don’t start with me,” the other girl says to West, before the fight breaks out.

West and the other girl are seen punching and slapping each other repeatedly before they fall to the ground with a loud thud.

Cellphone footage of the horrific fight was shared on Facebook by West’s aunt.

“Oh my God, Jada!” a friend calls out, after West appeared to fall on her back.

Jada was able to get up and walk away, but had to be rushed to the hospital shortly afterward when her heart stopped, according to her aunt.

She posted a video of West in a hospital bed, hooked up to various machines after she suffered brain damage.

“It may seem like a normal fight, but before my niece could make it home, her heart stopped,” McClendon wrote on Facebook on Saturday, a day before her niece’s death.

West collapsed moments after the fight and was rushed to the hospital, where she died.

The two girls did not know each other before the argument, which began at school and continued on the school bus, according to McClendon.

“They failed my sister’s child because we are broken by this,” she wrote. “Someone who has never been in trouble or a fight but stood her ground against a bully.”

West’s mother said her daughter had been a frequent victim of bullying since her recent transfer to the school.

Further details about West’s death, including exactly when she died, have yet to be publicly released.

As of yet, no charges have been filed, and no one else in the footage has been publicly identified, according to the Villa Rica Police Department, which is working alongside the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office in the case.

The local school district said it was “deeply saddened” by her death.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to her family and loved ones during this difficult time. She will be remembered by her teachers, her classmates, and all who knew her,” a spokesperson told Fox 5, adding that it was under police jurisdiction as it was after dismissal and not on school property.
