CNN is now reporting that Iran is trying to fortify Kharg Island in expectation that the US will take over the island.
Natasha Bertrand claims Iran is laying traps to create as many US casualties as possible if Trump tries to take it.

New: Iran has been laying traps and moving additional military personnel and air defenses to Kharg Island in recent weeks in preparation for a possible US operation to take control of the island, according to multiple people familiar with US intelligence reporting on the issue.Gulf allies are warning of significant US casualties if US moves fwd with an operation there & advising against it.
This report sounds like it came straight from the regime. I would just say that whatever the Iranians are doing, our very sophisticated US military is watching them like a hawk and is preparing accordingly – assuming they even want to take Kharg Island as a means to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.
