Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) accused a Democratic congressman of “doxing” an agent taken to the emergency room after being hit by a rock.
Federal immigration authorities executed raids at a pair of state-licensed marijuana facilities operated in Camarillo and Carpinteria, California.
“Yesterday in Carpinteria, I witnessed ICE agents using unnecessarily aggressive and militarized tactics against local farm workers and peaceful protesters. It was appalling. This is not how we keep our communities safe,” Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA) said.
“As a Member of Congress, I have the legal right to oversee federal operations. Yet, I was denied entry,” he added.
According to Blaze Media, Glass House Farms, a company run by a donor both to Carbajal and California Gov. Gavin Newsom, operated the facilities.
“I went to Casitas Pass Road in Carpinteria today after learning ICE was conducting a militarized raid targeting farm workers. As a Member of Congress, I have the right to conduct oversight, but I was denied entry. Here’s what happened,” Carbajal said in another post accompanied by a video.
The raids led to the arrest of 361 illegal aliens at the two sites.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said agents rescued at least 14 migrant children from “potential exploitation, forced labor, and human trafficking.”
Blaze Media provided further details:
While saving children and capturing foreign rapists, federal agents were savagely attacked by a mob of radicals who learned of the raids and apparently sought to obstruct the immigration enforcement actions. Among those who came out in opposition of law enforcement was Carbajal.
In addition to faulting Carbajal for apparently joining the ranks of the rioters, the DHS has accused the Democratic congressman of doxxing an ICE employee who was later injured by the mob.
“During the enforcement operation in Carpinteria, California, Rep. Carbajal spoke to an ICE Public Affairs Specialist, who gave the congressman his business card,” the DHS said in a statement. “The congressman then showed the ICE employee’s business card to the mob, making a target out of him. The employee was subsequently attacked, with lacerations to his left hand due to a rock being thrown at him. The employee had to go to the emergency room and get stitches for his injury.”
“When ICE announced his actions led to an ICE employee’s injuries, the congressman deflected from his own actions by claiming oversight and falsely labeled the crowd as ‘peaceful protesters.’ He did not address the injuries the ICE employee sustained as a result of his actions. Unfortunately, this is just another case of Democratic lawmakers labeling political stunts as oversight while they endanger the safety of ICE personnel,” DHS stated.
“The actions by Representative Carbajal are downright un-American. He dares to claim that his actions were simply congressional oversight, but doxing ICE personnel and inciting a mob of rioters to attack law enforcement is NOT oversight—it’s abominable,” Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said.

Meanwhile, Carbajal slammed the doxxing allegations in an X post on Sunday.
“This is a blatant attempt to distort what occurred in Carpinteria. DHS and ICE conducted their raid using a disturbing and disproportionate level of force, both on the farm workers they were targeting and the peaceful protesters who gathered to defend their neighbors,” he posted to X.
“I witnessed agents, in full military gear, fire smoke canisters and other projectiles into a crowd of peaceful civilians. Just before I arrived at the scene, witnesses told me the agents threw a stun grenade into the crowd. Several civilians were injured, including a child,” the congressman continued.
“This aggressive behavior in a normally quiet part of the Central Coast sparked alarm across our community, prompting a flood of calls and messages to my office from concerned citizens. I went to the scene to seek answers and represent my constituents. ICE’s claims of ‘doxxing’ and ‘violent mobs’ are familiar deflection tactics designed to distort public perception and to evade accountability for their aggressive actions in our community,” he added.
The company that operates the facility, Glass House Farms, said they “never knowingly violated applicable hiring practices and does not and has never employed minors.” Two of the company’s leaders, Kyle Kazan and Graham Farrar, previously donated to Carbajal’s congressional campaign, as recently as 2022 in Farrar’s case, according to Federal Election Commission records.
