Notorious Mexican Cartel Boss With $1M Bounty On His Head KILLED

Infamous Mexican cartel leader Jorge Humberto Figueroa, nicknamed “El Perris,” was killed during a raid in Sinaloa on Friday.

Figueroa had been charged with conspiracy to import and distribute fentanyl into the U.S. and had a $1 million bounty on his head.

CARTEL BOSS WHO FED PEOPLE TO TIGERS TAKEN OUT BY MEXICAN ARMY

His nickname was “El Perris,” he worked for El Chapo’s sons, and the U.S. literally had a $1 million price tag on his head.

He got killed in a raid Friday when Mexican troops tried to arrest him—spoiler: it didn’t end peacefully.

This guy wasn’t just dealing drugs—he helped run a cartel so brutal, their enemies were electrocuted, tortured with chiles, or fed to actual tigers.

One less villain in a real-life narco war that’s left over 1,200 people dead.

CBS News reported:

A leader of a notorious Mexican drug cartel who had a bounty on his head in the United States has died in a clash with army troops, authorities said Saturday.

Sinaloa state, where the powerful cartel of the same name is based, is enduring a war between two rival factions that has left some 1,200 people dead since September.

Jorge Humberto Figueroa — who went by the nickname “El Perris” — was shot and killed Friday in a raid carried out to arrest him, public safety secretary Omar Garcia Harfuch wrote on social media.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) had been offering up to $1 million for information leading to his arrest on suspicion of fentanyl trafficking and money laundering.

Mexican Secretary of State Omar Garcia Harfuch announced:

Translated to English:

As part of the strategy to build peace in Sinaloa, an operation was carried out to arrest Jorge Humberto “N”, alias “El Perris”, elements of@Defensamx1 were strongly attacked by armed men, so after repelling the aggression, in self-defense, said subject identified as one of the main generators of violence in the entity lost his life.
This person is identified as one of the main orchestrators of the attacks on authorities in 2019 in Culiacán, in addition to being related to homicides and kidnappings that affected the peace and tranquility of Sinaloa society.
“El Perris” is most notorious for leading a charge against the Mexican army back in 2019 after El Chapo’s son was arrested.

The New York Post explained:

In that fiery 2019 battle, “El Chapitos” took on the Mexican army and national guard following the arrest of Ovidio Guzman Lopez — with the now dead “El Perris” orchestrating the cartel thugs in firefights across Culiacán.

The criminal cartel forces, armed with military grade weapons, outnumbered and out-gunned the Mexican authorities in that guerilla battle, according to reports.

Ovidio Guzman Lopez was later controversially released by Mexican authorities who claimed they wanted to avoid further bloodshed.

However, the son of El Chapo was soon rearrested and was extradited to the United States in 2023 and is currently serving a life sentence at a supermax Colorado prison.

One cartel leader bites the dust…

Let’s hope many more are to come.
