Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been lighting up Democrat Senators today and he’s done it again with Senator Tim Kaine, who was trying to pick apart the administration’s argument to allow in white South African refugees whose lives are under threat because of the color of their skin.
At one point Rubio told Kaine “you’re the one who’s talking about the color of their skin,” and he did so because Kaine kept obsessing over the skin color of these white refugees.

I absolutely love how sharp Rubio is in this exchange. He nails Kaine, not just on his obsession with race, but on the fact that our admittance of refugees should be based on US interests and not ‘even-handed’, as Kaine suggested. He also did the same with Kaine saying foreigners are ‘entitled’ to come if they meet a certain refugee definition. Rubio said no, they are ‘allowed’ to come, meaning no one is entitled to come based on anything but US interests.
