It’s being reported today that Syria’s terrorist government, the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, is in talks to give Turkey some territory right in the middle of Syria in an area known as Palmyra, or the Tadmur region. Turkey would undoubtedly put a military base on the area.
In December we told you that Turkey was going to help Hayat Tahrir al-Sham to create an army of over 300,000 troops within the next 1.5 years.
Now it looks like Sultan Erdogan is finally beginning to realize his Ottoman dream to gain control of Syria.
This has Israeli Prime Minister and the government of Israel very concerned, as this could directly pit the two countries together in some kind of conflict. They are holding a security meeting today on this very topic.
Here’s the reporting:
Yesterday Voice from the East wrote on X:
A high-level Turkish security delegation conducted field tours today in the city of Homs to inspect several sites for the establishment of Turkish military bases in and around the city.
Additionally, they plan to activate airports east of the city, where drones and fighter jets will be stationed.
The airports in question are in Palmyra (Tadmur) and T4, both of which were struck last night by Israeli fighter jets.
In quasi related news, Erdogan just had the mayor of Istanbul arrested, who is his political enemy. And I think, just like he did with the new agencies in the past that opposed him (he forcibly took them over), he’s probably going to install his own person in control of the biggest city in Turkey to try and turn the people back toward him.
