Italian Prime Minister Meloni Says George Soros – And NOT Elon Musk – Is a Danger to Democracy and Sovereignty Worldwide

The most successful head of government in Europe, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, does not hide her conservatism and is willing to openly engage the media’s prejudice against the right-wingers.

While holding her annual press conference in Rome, she was asked whether Elon Musk’s postings constituted ‘dangerous interference’ in European affairs, to which Meloni replied in the negative.

TV5Monde reported:

“Italy’s far-right Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Thursday came to the defense of Elon Musk, saying his criticism of European leaders was scandalous only because he is right-wing.”

In Meloni’s opinion, Musk is simply exercising his freedom of expression – unlike Globalist/left-wing figures such as supervillain George Soros.

“’The problem is (rather) when rich people use their resources to finance parties and associations, as well as politicians, all over the world to influence the political choices of states’, she said.

‘That’s not what Musk does. Elon Musk financed an election campaign in his country, for his candidate, in a country where, I note in passing, this is quite common’, she observed. But, as far as I know, Elon Musk does not fund parties, associations or politicians around the world’, she stressed. ‘This is what George Soros is doing, for example. And yes, I consider this [Soro’s funding] to be a dangerous interference in the affairs of states and their sovereignty’.”

The TV5 reporting has a bit of humor in it, where they say Soros ‘supports NGOs around the world in support of good governance and the rule of law’. Can they be any more deluded?

“Meloni also denounced the silence of the left during the ‘interference’ of German politicians in the 2022 Italian election campaign that nevertheless led to her victory, while the same left is now outraged by Musk’s support for the AfD, a far-right party, in Germany.”

Musk reacted with humor to the exchange, using – as he often does – a meme to express his take on the subject.
