Polish Lawmakers Chant ‘Donald Trump’ in Parliament Chamber in Salute to Election Win

Members of the conservative-populist faction in Poland’s Parliament clapped and chanted Donald Trump’s name on Wednesday in celebration of his landslide U.S. election win.

Echoes of President-elect Donald Trump’s landmark visit to Poland in 2017 where he was met with chanting in the streets of Warsaw were heard after this week’s election, when Members of the Polish Parliament (the Sjem) clapped and chanted ‘Donald Trump’ in the chamber.

The politicians, some who wore ‘Make America Great Again’ hats are members of the conservative-populist Law and Justice (PiS) party, which was in power when President Trump was last in the White House, but who now form the Polish opposition.

Fellow Assassination Survivor Robert Fico Congratulates Trump, Hails Defeat of Progressivism and Failure of Legacy Media

The left-wing populist leader of NATO ally Slovakia congratulated Donald Trump on his resounding election victory, criticising the media at home and abroad for what he said was a bid to manipulate the voting public through biased coverage and polling.

The Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, who survived an assassination shooting earlier this year by a pro-Ukraine extremist in circumstances he later said strongly echoed the attempts on President Trump’s own life, congratulated America and the President-elect on the outcome of this week’s election at a press conference. The left-wing populist leader, who is strongly in favour of border control, Slovakia for the Slovakians, and against supporting the prolongation of the war in Ukraine by funnelling military supplies to the country said: “congratulations are sent from Bratislava to the new American President. Despite the fact we are a small country… we are looking forward to cooperation of whatever scope is possible.”

Italy’s Giorgia Meloni Hitches Her Wagon to Trump, Musk

ROME — Italy’s conservative Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni lost no time in celebrating Donald Trump’s victory, reaching out to him as well as her “friend” Elon Musk.

On Wednesday evening, Meloni spoke with president-elect Donald Trump by phone to congratulate him on his electoral victory, she stated on social media.

The conversation was “an opportunity to confirm the solid alliance, the strategic partnership and the deep and historic friendship that have always tied Rome and Washington,” she said.

During the phone call we expressed “our willingness to work in close coordination on all major international affairs, with the common goal of promoting stability and security, also in the framework of relations with the European Union,” she added.

The two agreed to “stay in close contact,” Meloni noted, to continue strengthening their “already excellent bilateral relations, founded on shared values and principles.”

Even prior to their phone call, Meloni had congratulated Trump on Tuesday’s victory, asserting that Italy and the U.S. are “sister nations”

Leftist British Gov’t Blasted for Anti-Trump Insults, Campaigning for Kamala

The rubber is about to hit the road for the leftist Labour Party government in Britain as it looks towards dealing with its most important ally in the United States with Donald Trump at the helm, a man who top cabinet members and even the prime minister have publicly insulted for years.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is facing calls to personally apologise to President-Elect Donald Trump for the venomous rhetoric spouted by him and his deputies for the sake of the “special relationship” between the U.S. and the UK, with a potential trade deal being on the line.

Following Mr Trump’s stunning victory in the early hours of Wednesday morning, his closest ally in Britain, Brexit leader Nigel Farage, implored the Labour government to “roll out the red carpet for the incoming U.S. President,” arguing that “President Donald Trump is a genuine friend of the United Kingdom. This is a huge opportunity to be grasped for our country.”

This call was echoed by recently-made Tory leader Kemi Badenoch, who pressed Starmer during her first Prime Minister’s Questions (PMQs) to formally apologise to the president-elect for the disparaging remarks made about Trump from his team, including from his top diplomat, Foreign Secretary David Lammy, who signed a motion to bar then-President Trump from addressing Parliament during a state visit, the Daily Mail reported.

German ‘Traffic Light’ Coalition Government Collapses over Green Agenda, Growing Debt, and Concern About Trump’s Return

The leftist-led coalition government in Germany collapsed on Wednesday evening over budget disagreements, personal spats, and the return of Donald Trump, culminating in Finance Minister Christian Lindner being dismissed and his Free Democrats chucked out of the government.

Nearly three years after coming to power following the retirement of former Chancellor Angela Merkel and the collapse in support for her aggressively open borders Christian Democrat Union (CDU) party, the “progressive coalition” government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s Social Democrats (red), Lindner’s Free Democrats (yellow), and Robert Habeck’s Greens (green) finally came to an end this week after months of infighting between the parties over the federal budget, Welt reports.

While clearly there will not be much love lost between Scholz and Lindner — the chancellor having accused his former finance chief of being egotistical, untruthful, and purely politically motivated — the division is fundamentally about differing worldviews and disparate visions for the role of the state.

As reported in the German domestic press, the Traffic Light Coalition era is ending with a “mud-slinging match”.

“He has broken my trust too often. There is no basis of trust for further cooperation. I no longer want to subject our country to such behaviour,” Scholz said. “I would have liked to have spared you this difficult decision, especially in difficult times. Serious government work is not possible like this.”

Kremlin: ‘We Will See’ if Trump Can Really Help to End the Ukraine War

The Kremlin expressed very mild optimism on Wednesday for possible improvements in relations between the United States and Russia under the second Trump administration, although the Russians remained skeptical that Trump can deliver on his promise to make peace in Ukraine.

“Let’s not forget that we are talking about an unfriendly country that is directly and indirectly involved in a war against our state,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, referring to U.S. opposition to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Asked if relations between Russia and the United States might deteriorate under Trump, Peskov replied, “It is almost impossible to worsen them further, relations are at their historically lowest point. What happens next will depend on the next U.S. leadership.”

Peskov insisted Russian President Vladimir Putin remains open to “constructive dialogue based on fairness and equality.”
