George Soros’ Media Matters Moves to Buy Alex Jones’ InfoWars amid Forced Sell-Off

The George Soros-funded leftist propaganda outlet Media Matters is reportedly moving to buy Alex Jones’s InfoWars.

The courts recently ordered a forced sell-off of InfoWars to pay off huge legal debts after Jones and his outlet were thrashed with waves of lawsuits.

A Texas judge ruled the outlet could be liquidated to pay the families of the victims of the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Texas and Connecticut courts ruled that Jones must pay the families $1.5 billion in damages for reporting on theories that the shooting was staged.

Last week, a judge in Houston ruled that Free Speech Systems, the parent company of InfoWars, could be liquidated and put up for auction to help pay the judgment.

Creditors will be holding a closed auction for InfoWars and the legendary outlet will be sold to the highest bidder.

On Sunday, Semafor reported that a handful of liberal and nonprofit organizations are exploring bidding on InfoWars.

Among those to declare plans to bid on InfoWars Media Matters for America.

Media Matters is a Soros-funded far-left propaganda organization that parades as a watchdog.

The organization exists only to smear and discredit conservative news outlets while claiming to be fighting “disinformation.”

“We are diligently considering this acquisition,” Media Matters president Angelo Carusone told Semafor.

Carusone also gloated that Media Matters was interested in buying InfoWars to gain access to archives to see what the outlet has not published.

Jones responded to developments in a Tuesday broadcast of his show.

WATCH:

Jones recently suggested that InfoWars’ assets could be bought by his supporters.

Doing so would allow Jones to continue hosting his show as an employee under the InfoWars brand in their home city of Austin, Texas.

In recent days, Jones publicly implored X boss Elon Musk to buy InfoWars, Semafor said.

The report notes Musk revoked the platform’s ban on Jones’s account after buying the company.

An unnamed source told the publication that they expect Jones to find an outside funder.

The funder would then outbid the competition, take control of the site at auction, and install Jones as head of the property.

However, the publication also reported that there are a few other left-leaning groups that are tinkering with the idea of bidding on InfoWars ahead of the November auction.

Semafor also reported that others on the Left have been buzzing about the bidding process.

In a post on X earlier this week, Brian Krassenstein said he wanted to buy the company.

Along with his twin brother, Krassenstein became famous for his viral anti-Trump tweets.

Krassenstein said he would “call it MissInfoWars and rehire Alex Jones, but make him dress up as ‘Alexa Jones’ and tell fairy tales.”

Although the post was positioned more as a joke, Krassenstein confirmed that he is planning on bidding to buy the site.

“We are actually considering bidding but I can’t imagine actually winning it as I’m sure it will surpass our budget,” he said.

“Maybe we will get lucky.”

Jones and his company both filed for bankruptcy protection in 2022.
