As I write, Kamala’s VP pick, Tim Walz, is having a live conversation with Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez’s on her Twitch stream. The topic has strayed from Madden football (which the two planned to play live today), the role of men, and yes — talk of who the Kamala-Walz ticket would prefer to see holding the House Speaker gavel.
So AOC would be the Harris-Walz preference for a House Speaker position. Keep in mind, democrats would have to come out of the elections with a winning margin in the U.S. House of Representatives before Kamala and Tim could make good on that promise, and even then there’s no guarantee she would get the role.
But that decision telegraphs very clearly the shift back towards the far progressive left that Kamala and Walz have in mind, if they were to actually win the Presidency and democrats the House.
Apparently, according a report in the EconoTimes, today’s Twitch stream conversation between the two progressives may not be the first time the subject has been publicly broached.
At a recent rally, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz made waves with an electrifying statement directed at progressive Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, confidently declaring that the Democrats would “make you put a gavel in your hand in the House.” Walz’s remarks, charged with a spirit of optimism and party unity, energized both the crowd and party supporters, signaling a renewed push for Democratic success in the upcoming election. The rally highlighted the party’s ambitions and reaffirmed the role of high-profile figures like Ocasio-Cortez in shaping the Democratic agenda.
The outspoken Walz, who has been vocal about his support for progressive policies, acknowledged the momentum gathering within the Democratic base. “We’re not just looking to secure a few seats; we’re aiming to empower voices that fight for change,” Walz declared to enthusiastic applause. His statement, which caught the attention of media outlets and political commentators alike, underscored the party’s readiness to back progressive voices and usher in a more assertive, policy-driven Democratic majority.

Supporters in attendance were quick to cheer Walz’s declaration, signaling growing support for AOC’s platform and the Democratic leadership’s alignment with her vision.
So according to that report, this was not a new promise, nor was it the first time the public has heard it — but as of right now I am unable to verify the report of an earlier promise at a rally, as the EconoTimes is reporting
Regardless, the promise was made today within the last hour, clear as day. And word is starting to spread fast.
And that wasn’t the only serious topic they brought up. Tim Walz asked about the filibuster option which has become a sticking point between camps recently. AOC responded “Oh yeah! We gotta get rid of that thing.”
Word on the danger to the filibuster option is also spreading, with the NRA pointing out that the Second Amendment would likely be on the chopping block if such a situation were to occur — the House under democratic control, and a Harris-Walz administration.
As I’ve seen others point out, that is just one more reason President Trump needs to win — and win big. One more reason to vote Trump, and ensure these progressive zealots do not get their hands anywhere near the Constitution!
