MSNBC has published a surprising focus group interview with black voters who shared their opinions of Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
During the interview, MSNBC’s Alex Wagner sat down with the group of mostly female African American voters in Philadelphia.
The group revealed that they won’t vote for Vice President Harris in the critical 2024 election.
They cited Harris’s lack of confidence and said they don’t feel safe having a president who would be too afraid to stand up to tough foreign leaders such as Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I don’t wanna be scared because my president is scared,” one of the women told Wagner.
“I want my president to feel secure and manly and about it.”
Several black females in the group told Wagner that they’re not put off by President Donald Trump’s headstrong demeanor.
They said the country needs to be helmed by someone who exerts strength and who isn’t afraid to stand up against America’s enemies.
Wagner asked the group if they were uncomfortable with a woman in a top leadership role, suggesting that Harris shouldn’t be president because of her gender.
However, the group pushed back against the insinuation.
The women asserted that they don’t believe the argument that men don’t respect women.
They noted that most men respect women of power such as their own mothers.
They noted that Harris’s gender isn’t the reason voters don’t trust her, it’s because she “just don’t have the qualifications or the education to really run America."
“She don’t have the experience,” one woman said.
“She don’t understand our struggles.
“And for me to believe you for another four years, you’re crazy. Like, you’re crazy.
“You’re saying the same thing that you said four years ago."
In addition, one woman cited Harris’s track record as a prosecutor and her reputation for locking up black people for non-violent crimes when she was district attorney in California.
“Well, for me, the very first time I ever heard the name ‘Kamala Harris,’ it was in association to locking up parents for a truancy,” the woman told Wagner.
“That was the first time I ever heard of her name.
“And I really didn’t understand how this person claims to be a black woman, but yet she’s locking up black women and black men and separating families.”
The group also touched on Trump’s comments that Harris switched her racial identity and became black when it was politically convenient.
As Trump noted, Harris was previously identified racially as an Indian American up until she was chosen as President Joe Biden’s running mate in the 2020 election.
The women agreed with Trump and accused Harris of “wearing her blackness.”
“Absolutely,” one woman said.
“When she was sworn to the Senate, it was as the first Indian American.
“Which is… It’s fine. We don’t care.”
However, some in the group appeared angry that Harris was claiming to be black to win support from African American voters.
“We all know she’s not black,” another woman chimed in.
“Let’s understand that. We are all clear of that."
The woman angrily pointed out that Harris has been in office for almost four years and has done none of the things she claims she will do if she wins the election.
“But my point of view when I told you earlier, she’s already been there,” she said.
“She’s in office right now.”

The interview offers a glimpse into the sentiments of many black Americans this election cycle.
It comes as the voting bloc grows disillusioned with Democrats’ unfulfilled promises.
Meanwhile, Harris is continuing to bleed support from traditionally Democrat-voting demographics.
Recent polling shows that Latino voters, specifically men, are now flocking to Trump over Harris.
