UNBREAKING: Secret Service agent accidentally shot himself last night

It’s being reported that a Secret Service agent accidentally shot himself last night while working in Washington DC.

They aren’t saying much about it, only that he negligently discharged his weapon and that his injuries are not life-threatening. Also no one was else was injured.

Here’s more from WUSA9:

A U.S. Secret Service (USSS) agent accidentally shot and injured himself Saturday evening. He is expected to survive.

According to USSS, the agent was on duty during the “negligent discharge” while he was handling his weapon shortly before 8 p.m. in the area of 32nd and Fessenden streets Northwest. His injuries were not life threatening, and the officer was taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment. USSS says no one else was injured in the incident.

No other details have been made public so far. The Secret Service’s Office of Professional Responsibility plans to investigate the incident.

The first thing that comes to mind is how the former USSS director made DEI hiring a big deal. I don’t know the details but that’s exactly where my mind goes, especially after seeing that agent repeatedly failing to holster her weapon after the first Trump assassination attempt.
