Israel disputes death toll reported by Hamas after strike that killed lots of terrorists earlier today

It was reportedly widely this morning that 80 people were killed during an Israeli strike in Gaza. Of course, this was reported by the Hamas-run health authority there:

ABC NEWS – An Israeli airstrike hit a school-turned-shelter in Gaza early Saturday, killing at least 80 people and wounding nearly 50 others, Palestinian health authorities said, in one of the deadliest attacks in the 10-month-old war between Israel and Hamas. A witness said it struck during prayers at a mosque in the building.

It was the latest in what the U.N. human rights office called “systematic attacks on schools” by Israel, with at least 21 since July 4, leaving hundreds dead, including women and children.

But according to Israel, this kind of death toll could never have happened.

The IDF reports that “19 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists were eliminated” and that given the type of munitions they used to carry out these eliminations, it “can not cause the amount of damage that is being reported by the Hamas-run Government Information Office in Gaza.”

Today, the IDF and ISA struck terrorists operating in a Hamas command and control center, which was embedded inside a mosque in the Al-Taba’een school compound.
