BALDWIN COUNTY, AL- WALA reports that a six-year-old seriously injured in a crash early this week has died from her injuries, and an illegal alien, Zelvin G. Pavon-Gomez, 25, a Honduran national, has been arrested in connection with her death.
Police said the crash occurred at approximately 3:08 a.m. on Monday, July 8, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The child, who was not identified, was a passenger in the 2003 GMC Yukon when the vehicle went off the road and overturned. The agency noted the child was not in a child restraint at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. The Yukon landed on top of the child, police said.
Gomez was also injured in the crash and was taken to South Baldwin Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries. He was subsequently arrested and booked into the Baldwin County Jail on a manslaughter charge.
According to authorities, Gomez was initially in the vehicle with his girlfriend, the victim and a dog. An argument apparently ensued between Gomez and his girlfriend, and she left the car, along with the dog. Gomez then drove away and was allegedly driving 68 mph in a 45 mph zone when the crash occurred, Breitbart News reported.
“He lost control of the vehicle, struck a fence, and there was a rollover event. Prior to that rollover event, the child was ejected, and the vehicle landed on the child,” Chief Assistant District Attorney Teresa Heinz said.
“He admitted to being at a party where alcohol was consumed. He admitted to being quote, unquote, ‘buzzed’ and blacking out, not remembering the actual events of the actual crash itself,” Heinz added.
Authorities said Gomez’s blood alcohol content was 0.22, three times the legal limit in the state of Alabama.
Baldwin County District Judge Bill Scully set Gomez’s bond at $200,000, and he was officially charged with driving under the influence and first-degree assault. The manslaughter charge was an upgraded charge after the child died.
Prosecutors said that if Gomez is somehow able to post bond, he will be required to wear an ankle monitor and an alcohol monitor. There was no mention of an ICE detainer since he is in the country illegally.
WALA said that Gomez, as did over ten million others, entered the U.S. illegally after applying for asylum, which was denied. Despite that, and knowing the Biden administration’s milquetoast immigration policies, Gomez stayed in the country.
The child’s death is the latest in a long list of deaths attributed to illegal alien invaders. In the past month alone, there have been no fewer than seven high-profile criminal cases reported involving illegal aliens:
June 15: WBFF in Baltimore reported that Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in connection with murder of Rachel Morin, a Maryland resident and mother of five who was found dead near a hiking trail. He was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape. The suspect is a 23-year-old citizen of El Salvador who illegally entered the United States in February, 2023 after murdering a young woman in his home country the month prior.
Hartford County, Maryland Sheriff Jeffrety Gahler said that after crossing into the United States, Martinez-Hernandez “brutally attacked a nine-year-old girl and her mother in a home invasion in March of 2023 in Los Angeles.”
June 17: According to Breitbart, an illegal alien from Mexico, deported 16 times from the United States, is accused of killing a 64-year-old Colorado man in a vehicle crash. Ignacio-Cruz-Mendoza, 47, was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, reckless driving, and driving without a commercial license in connection with the death of Scott Miller.
Mendoza was driving a semi-truck for Monique Trucking Company when his truck veered off the road, causing pipe and angle iron he was halting to spill on top of five vehicles in his path of travel. Miller was in one of the vehicles and was killed instantly. Another driver suffered serious injuries.
As a point of information, neither ABC, NBC, or CBS mentioned this on their evening or morning news programs.
June 20: The Daily Wire reported that an illegal who entered through Biden’s porous southern border and was never deported despite an order from an immigration judge, admitted to raping a 13-year-old girl in a Queens park in New York City. It was only through the efforts of Good Samaritans, who restrained and delivered street justice to the suspect, Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, an illegal from Ecuador, that police were able to make a speedy arrest.
Inga-Landi was charged with predatory sexual assault, first-degree rape, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, two counts of of first-degree robbery, second-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, obstructing governmental administration, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
ABC and NBC devoted some coverage to the incident. CBS delivered zero coverage.
Also on June 20: The New York Post reported that two illegal aliens from Venezuela were arrested in connection with the rape and murder of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray in Houston, Texas. Jocelyn was followed by the suspects to a convenience store.
The two illegals, Johnan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, were charged with capital murder in connection with the child’s death. According to Department of Homeland Security sources, Pena Ramos crossed into El Paso, Texas on May 28, and was released by CBP agents afterward. Rangel Martinez also crossed into El Paso on March 14, and was released with a later court date.
ABC, CBS, and NBC evening and morning show coverage totaled 54 seconds on June 21 on NBC Nightly News. CBS and ABC did nothing.
June 27: The New York Post reported an illegal alien from Turkey was charged with raping a 15-year-old Albany, New York girl for an incident that occurred on May 14 after she fled a local group home. Sakir Akkan, 21, is accused of raping the teen in the early hours inside his Toyota Prius, threatening to “pummel her” if she didn’t cooperate and threatened her with a metal pole. Akkan was arrested on June 18 and charged with first-degree rape, according to the Albany Police Department. Akkanh was arrested last November 5 in San Diego, according to a Homeland Security source.
ABC, NBC, and CBS devoted zero minutes of coverage to this incident.
July 1: Again, The New York Post reported an illegal alien entered a Dallas-area Chick-fil-A and opened fire, killing two workers at the restaurant, located in Irving, Texas. He fled the scene in a 1997 Honda sedan. Authorities say that Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, a 37-year-old El Salvador native was identified as the shooter by his wife, who works at the restaurant, according to Fox 4. The victims were identified as 31-year-old Brayan Godoy, a father of four from Guatemala, and 49-year-old grandmother Patricia Portillo.
Again, ABC, NBC, and CBS devoted zero minutes of news coverage on this incident.
July 8: The Blaze reported that an illegal alien from Mexico has been accused of raping a child in Provo, Utah. Francisco-Lopez Ramirez, 42, has been living in the U.S. illegally. While specific details of his arrest were not available, Utah County jail records confirmed Lopez-Ramirez was charged with raping a child and unlawful sexual activity with a minor believed to be 16 or 17 years old.
Records show that ICE has issued an immigration detainer on Lopez-Ramirez. ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Salt Lake City was contacted by the outlet and was told that Lopez-Ramirez had at least one prior arrest over ten years ago whereby he was supposed to be deported based on an order by an immigration judge. It is unknown where or when Lopez-Ramirez reentered the U.S.
Again, ABC, NBC, and CBS devoted no news coverage to this incident.
