DA Alvin Bragg Refuses to Testify before House Judiciary Committee, Says He’s ‘Too Busy’

George Soros-funded Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has refused to attend a House Judiciary Committee hearing to testify.

The Democrat prosecutor says he is “too busy” to attend the hearing on June 13.

Bragg and his prosecutorial team were quick to take victory laps in the wake of the guilty verdict in President Donald Trump’s “hush money” case.

However, in the time since the verdict was read, Bragg has found himself, for the first time, being asked questions about the case that he might not want to answer.

It now appears that the walls are closing in.

According to the Washington Examiner, House Republicans have requested that Bragg and one of his prosecutors attend a testimony on June 13.

Bragg is already coming up with weak excuses as to why he can’t attend.

The request for Bragg’s attendance was issued by Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) last week.

Apparently, Bragg isn’t able to attend the House hearing on the hush money trial on that particular day due to scheduling conflicts.

It took several days for Bragg to even respond to the original request.

Leslie Dubeck, Bragg’s counsel, returned a response to Jordan and other House Republican leaders indicating that their office is “committed to voluntary cooperation.”

Nevertheless, Dubeck said the date simply won’t work for them.

“That cooperation includes making the District Attorney available to provide testimony on behalf of the Office at an agreed-upon date, and evaluating the propriety of allowing an Assistant District Attorney to testify publicly about an active prosecution to which he is assigned,” Dubeck wrote.

She added:

“However, the proposed date that the Subcommittee selected without consulting the Office presents various scheduling conflicts.”

Matthew Colangelo, one of Bragg’s prosecutors in the Trump case, has a previous work history with Democrat President Joe Biden’s Justice Department.

He left his job to prosecute Trump.

Notably, he also worked for New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The situation has caused major concerns and adds further wright to allegations that the “hush money” case was politically motivated.

Dubeck had another excuse in her letter to Jordan.

She wrote:

“The trial court and reviewing appellate courts have issued numerous orders for the purpose of protecting the fair administration of justice in People v. Trump, and to participate in a public hearing at this time would be potentially detrimental to those efforts.”

Depending on if Jordan and Bragg’s team work together to solidify a new date is to be seen.

Many believe that if Bragg continues to play games, Jordan should use his powers to issue a congressional subpoena to up the ante.

Only time will tell.
