MSNBC Accuses Republicans of ‘Buying Votes’ by Cutting Taxes, Improving Economy

MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle has defended Democrat President Joe Biden for “buying votes” with his student debt-wiping agenda.

As Slay News has reported, Biden has been increasingly pushing to wipe the debts of college-educated voters as the critical presidential election draws near.

Earlier this week, the Biden administration announced that U.S. taxpayers will be paying out another $7.7 billion to wipe student loan debt.

On Wednesday morning, the Biden admin revealed that $7.7B will be spent on clearing debt for more than 160,000 borrowers.

The moves have led to increasing allegations that Biden is using taxpayer money and his executive powers to buy votes.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of Ruhle’s MSNBC show “The 11th Hour,” the host responded to accusations from Republicans that Biden is trying to buy votes with his student loan plans.

“Isn’t this just how politics works?” she asked.

“Fulfilling campaign promises to certain groups.”

Ruhle continued by arguing that President Donald Trump and other Republicans do the same thing.

However, Ruhle accused Trump and Republicans of buying votes by cutting taxes, creating more jobs, and improving the economy to allow Americans to keep more of their own money.

“[L]et’s talk about Joe Biden and this student debt relief,” Ruhle said.

“We’re seeing Republicans push so hard against it, saying Joe Biden is buying votes.

“If he’s doing this for college grads, what about all the people who don’t go to college?

“They get nothing, they’re left out.

“Isn’t that how politics works?” she asked.

“The carried interest loophole only helps the private equity industry.

“It doesn’t help us,” Ruhle continued.

“Corporate tax cuts only [help] corporations.

“It doesn’t help the rest of us.

“When Donald Trump goes down to Mar-a-Lago and says, ‘I’m going to lower your taxes,’ he’s lowering the taxes of the richest of the rich people.

“So, this whole, you are buying votes, isn’t this just how politics works?

“Fulfilling campaign promises to certain groups.”

The comments from Ruhle come as MSDNC and other obedient corporate media outlets continue to promote the Democrats’ narrative that Trump poses a “threat” to America.

Late last month, MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace bizarrely claimed that Trump is plotting to end freedom of the press as part of his so-called “attack on democracy” if re-elected.

During the opening of her show “Deadline: White House,” Wallace warned “the real threat looms larger.”

She claims that Trump is also planning to end “all of our freedoms and for the rule of law itself.”

Not only did Wallace make the allegations with a straight face, but she also appeared to grow increasingly emotional.

The Trump campaign fired back at Wallace’s remarks in a statement.

Trump Campaign Communications Director Steven Cheung said:

“The only things that will end her show are her sh**ty ratings and the temper tantrums she has during her segments.

“She has a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome and is in desperate need of medical care.”
