Elon Musk has announced that the words “cis” or “cisgender” will now be considered slurs on Twitter.
According to Merriam-Webster, “cisgender” means “of, relating to, or being a person whose gender identity corresponds with the sex the person had or was identified as having at birth.”
On Tuesday, writer and political commentator James Esses posted on Twitter about being called “cis” despite his request to not be called it.
He wrote, “Yesterday, after posting a Tweet saying that I reject the word ‘cis’ and don’t wish to be called it, I receive a slew of messages from trans activists calling me ‘cissy’ and telling me that I am ‘cis’ ‘whether or not I like it.’ Just imagine if the roles were reversed.”
Musk responded to this tweet, saying, “Repeated, targeted harassment against any account will cause the harassing accounts to receive, at minimum, temporary suspensions. The words ‘cis’ or ‘cisgender’ are considered slurs on this platform.”
Esses replied to Musk, saying, “Thank you for standing up for reality, Elon.”
After Musk’s tweet went viral, Esses began receiving even more hate from the “loving and accepting” alphabet mafia.
He tweeted, “Today I have been bombarded with death wishes and messages calling me a ‘faggot’ and ‘cissy’. All because I dared to reject an ideological label being imposed upon me. These people, who are so quick to throw the word ‘bigot’, need to take a long, hard look in the mirror.”
Texas Republican State Delegate Sarah Fields commented on the absurdity and hypocrisy displayed by the woke leftists.
“This is the same crowd who wishes death on you for ‘misgendering’ them, yet they call themselves the party of love and inclusiveness,” wrote Fields.
‘Harry Potter’ author J.K. Rowling even jumped in and commented on the topic, tweeting,
“‘Cis’ is ideological language, signifying belief in the unfalsifiable concept of gender identity. You have a perfect right to believe in unprovable essences that may or may not match the sexed body, but the rest of us have a right to disagree, and to refuse to adopt your jargon.”
