After the New York Post’s blockbuster October 2020 story about the Hunter Biden laptop emails broke, then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s powerful political lackeys including future cabinet members like Antony Blinken and senior executives in Big Tech did everything they could to squelch both the story and the long-running paper.
Twitter – in consultation with anti-Trumpers in the FBI and DHS – locked the Post’s account and prevented the link from being viewed on the website when shared by other users, while Facebook also did their part to deliberately suppress the story. Major mainstream media outlets also turned their backs on the Post in a disgraceful display of journalistic malpractice.
At the time, the official explanation for targeting the Post was that the story was part of a “Russian election interference plot” that allegedly contained hacked material. We all knew then, and it has been confirmed many times since then, that these rationales were massive lies coordinated at high levels between the Biden presidential campaign and the intel community in an effort to protect Joe Biden’s presidential campaign from political damage just a few weeks out from Election Day.
And here we are not even a week after he lavished praise on the press during the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner for their supposed commitment to the “truth” or whatever, and Joe Biden – who prior to being declared the winner of the presidential election vowed to respect the freedom of the press – is punishing the New York Post yet again, barring them from the only event Biden was scheduled to appear at Monday:

The White House press office barred The Post from attending President Biden’s only daytime public event Monday as federal prosecutors near a decision on criminally charging first son Hunter Biden for tax fraud and other crimes.

Biden ultimately took no shouted questions at the [Eisenhower Executive Office Building], which houses the set of a “fake” White House and about 50 theater-style seats for reporters — about 20 of which were empty Monday.
In the same room this past February, Biden chose to answer The Post’s query about whether his family’s links to China compromised his ability to steer US policy. He fumed about the lack of “polite” reporters and stormed out.

The [White House rejection] email does not claim that the exclusion is due to “space limitations” — an excuse that was used until recently to justify the press office’s mysterious prescreening of reporters let into large presidential events, which under past administrations were open to all journalists on White House grounds.
The New York Post’s White House correspondent, Steve Nelson, weighed in on Twitter:
So much for that “restoring” of the “respect” between the media and the White House Biden promised prior to the election right? And along with that, any claims of “transparency.” I mean, what legitimate reason would they have for barring the NY Post, especially when you consider that – as the Post pointed out – there were multiple empty chairs at the event, which they obtained a photo of (and which is on their website).
The only explanation is that Biden’s handlers are once again trying to make the Post pay the price for being one of the very few mainstream media outlets that has not kept quiet about Hunter Biden’s questionable overseas business dealings and Joe Biden’s tangled web of connections to them.
As was the case when Twitter and Facebook rushed to keep the original Hunter Biden story hidden from view, don’t expect other media outlets to rally to the defense of the Post because they, like the Biden White House, have a very vested interest in either ignoring or glossing over a major story that could potentially hurt Biden’s reelection chances.
As always, same crap, different day, and the people who are supposed to care very much about troubling developments like this simply… don’t.

Hunter Biden Associate Told to Start Singing or Face Jail Time

Rumors of a coming indictment of Hunter Biden are heating up, but one of his business associates is already facing jail time.
Devon Archer founded Rosemont Seneca Partners with Hunter Biden and helped get the president’s son a position on the board of Burisma. The two also worked together to secure payments from Chinese-controlled entities. Archer was convicted of fraud in 2018 for a scheme involving bonds and the Oglala Sioux tribe.
Since then, Archer has had his conviction vacated and reinstated, and now he’s staring at one final appeal on Tuesday. That means he’s running out of time, and friends are urging him to start singing before it’s too late (The New York Post).
As Hunter Biden faces a potential criminal indictment this week, his former best friend Devon Archer will make his last bid to avoid jail Tuesday when his appeal is heard in a courtroom in Lower Manhattan.
As he grows increasingly despondent, friends with knowledge of Hunter’s thinking are telling Archer to accept that the Bidens have thrown him under the bus and that a last-minute presidential pardon has been ruled out.
They have urged him to save himself by using the only currency he has left — his knowledge of the Biden family influence-peddling scheme, for which he had a front-row seat for four years during Joe Biden’s vice presidency.
If anyone knows about the corruption perpetrated by the Biden Family, it’s Archer. He was present for all the complicated business machinations that occurred over the last decade or so, and no one was closer to the president’s son. When Hunter Biden had multiple meetings with a Russian oligarch who was directly connected to Vladimir Putin, it was Archer who set up the meetings. The examples of their foreign dealings go on and on, and all of it was only made possible by trading on Joe Biden’s name.
Unless Archer can offer something of value to prosecutors, he’s all out of leverage, and there’s little reason to think his final appeal will succeed. Joe Biden isn’t going to pardon him for obvious reasons, and Hunter Biden hasn’t spoken out to support one a single time despite their relationship. Archer has to be feeling some pressure as judgment day approaches. Does he take one for the team or start talking?
Of course, all this doesn’t just hinge on Archer having the goods on the Bidens. Just as importantly, the DOJ has to want the goods on the Bidens. The latter part of that equation is far from certain given the politicization of the department under the leadership of AG Merrick Garland, who himself is facing charges of perjury from a whistleblower.
So even if Archer is willing to spill his guts, it might be the preference of partisans at the DOJ to not even engage and instead ensure he ends up behind bars where he’ll be nice and quiet.

White House in Panic Mode: New York Post Banned as Prosecutors Close in on Hunter Biden

Apparently, President Joe Biden is not too fond of the New York Post. Perhaps his aversion to the news outlet is due to its extensive coverage of his son, Hunter Biden, and his shady foreign business dealings. As RedState’s Sister Toldjah reported, the president’s team has reportedly taken a rather questionable step to avoid further scrutiny from The Post.
The New York Post reported on Monday:
The White House press office barred The Post from attending President Biden’s only daytime public event Monday as federal prosecutors near a decision on criminally charging first son Hunter Biden for tax fraud and other crimes.
The Post has closely covered Biden’s own links to Hunter’s foreign dealings and first reported in October 2020 on files from the first son’s abandoned laptop linking Joe Biden to business relationships in China and Ukraine.
The exclusion from the event comes amid ongoing restrictions on press access implemented by Biden’s press staff, with no explanation provided for the criteria used to select reporters for large presidential events. To put it simply, the White House continues to go to great lengths to control how the press reports on this administration.
Post opinion editor Kelly Jane Torrance called the move “Absolutely outrageous.” She tweeted:
Hunter Biden’s legal team recently met with Justice Department lawyers, signaling a potential final step before a charging decision in the long-running investigation into his activities that began in 2018, according to The Post’s report.
President Biden, who declined to take reporter questions on Friday, falsely claimed he would hold a “major news conference.” This comes as congressional Republicans issued a subpoena for an FBI file containing an allegation that he accepted bribes. The White House did not respond to inquiries regarding The Post’s exclusion, and the press staff has been screening reporters for more than two years at large indoor events, setting a troubling precedent for press access.
The Post’s exclusion from President Biden’s event follows a pattern of limited press access implemented by the White House. The Biden administration has previously cited a lack of space as an excuse to prescreen reporters allowed into large presidential events, despite calls from journalists to end the ambiguous process.
The criteria for selecting reporters remain undisclosed, and press officials have refused to provide explanations to leaders of the White House Correspondents’ Association. This has prompted allegations that the administration is attempting to control press briefings by excluding the few reporters that might ask him tough questions.
The White House did not provide a response to The Post’s inquiries regarding the exclusion from the event, and the press staff has recently formalized a process to revoke press badges, further restricting journalists’ access.
We don’t need to question how this scenario would play out if former President Donald Trump had done the same thing, do we? Yet, as of this writing, there has been no criticism coming from left-leaning establishment media outlets. The issue is that Biden knows he will likely face no real criticism coming from the press because they are in his pocket. However, if the situation for his son becomes even more perilous, he might not be able to avoid the matter for much longer.
As Sister Toldjah noted in her piece, this latest move only further shows how little the Biden administration values transparency. The fact that the president would refuse to face questioning about his son’s legal troubles indicates he is not concerned about addressing the public on this matter or other issues that might cast a negative light on his presidency. Being that he is seeking a second term in office, he is likely trying to avoid anything that might place his campaign in jeopardy.
Hunter Biden’s ongoing legal issues have the potential to impact Joe Biden’s campaign for re-election in 2024. As the president’s son, Hunter’s activities and any legal implications can create negative publicity and raise questions about potential conflicts of interest. If Hunter Biden is charged with crimes such as tax fraud or other offenses, it could further fuel criticism and allegations of corruption within the Biden family.
Opponents may seize upon these issues to undermine Joe Biden’s credibility and portray his presidency as tainted. Moreover, the public’s perception of the president’s handling of his son’s legal situation and any potential involvement could impact their trust in his leadership, making it a challenging hurdle for Joe Biden to overcome during his campaign.
