The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has decided not to pursue charges against an attorney supported by leftist billionaire George Soros, despite evidence of election interference and perjury.
Rachael Rollins, who served as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, resigned from her position after an investigation by the DOJ’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) uncovered her alleged misconduct.
The OIG’s report detailed Rollins’s false statements and revealed violations of federal regulations, DOJ policies, her Ethics Agreement, and applicable law.
During the investigation, it was found that Rollins had provided derogatory information about District Attorney Kevin Hayden to the Boston Globe and Boston Herald in an attempt to influence the Democratic primary for Suffolk’s district attorney.
The OIG emphasized that Rollins had access to this non-public and sensitive information due to her federal position.
Arkansas GOP Senator Tom Cotton criticized Democrats for disregarding warning signs in Rollins’s record and supporting her appointment by President Joe Biden.
Cotton argued that Rollins believed she was above the rules, using her enforcement power against anyone who questioned her, and dismissing criticism of her record as racist.
The DOJ’s decision not to pursue charges against Rollins has raised concerns among conservatives who perceive a double standard in holding individuals accountable for election interference.
The case highlights the importance of upholding integrity and impartiality in the justice system, ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their affiliations, are subject to the same standards of justice.
