Former Republican Joe Walsh Thinks Investigating Hunter Biden’s Laptop Will “Anger” The American People

This Sunday, former Republican Congressman and Trump critic Joe Walsh argued 

an investigation into Hunter Biden’s laptop will “anger the American people,” 

during an appearance on MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show.”


“The Republicans have no agenda. You’re going to see two years of utter chaos 

trying to investigate Hunter Biden’s laptop and everything like that. Which is just 

going to anger the American people more,” Walsh began.

Walsh is referencing GOP investigations into the Biden family, which the House 

Oversight Committee teased in November, as the DC Enquirer reported. As 

teased, these investigations will be wide-reaching and will surely help hold Biden

 and his cronies accountable to the American people — which is always a good

 and just thing. A strong nation is a transparent one, and that transparency begins

 at the top. Our public officials work for us after all.

Joe Walsh then turned to the GOP’s future legislative agenda, assuming they do vote

 in Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as House Speaker.Former Republican Joe Walsh

“There is no legislative agenda. Their agenda for the next two years is revenge,” 

Walsh claimed.

“And it is to investigate everything the Democrats have done for the last two or

 three years.

That’s all they are going to do. And that will hurt them, as it should, with the 

American people.”

Fortunately for America, it appears that Walsh has greatly underestimated public 

support for a full-fledged investigation into the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop. 

A Rasmussen Reports poll finds that “62% of Likely U.S. voters approve of the 

House GOP’s investigation of Hunter Biden’soverseas deals, including 42% who 

Strongly Approve.” Indeed, 86 percent of Republicansand 63 percent of 

independents support these investigations.

All in all, it looks as though the leading group that would be “angered” at an 

investigation into the Hunter Biden laptop are the radical liberals in the Democrat 

Party. But were Republicans ever going to appease that faction? That much is 

highly unlikely. House Republicans are making an investigative move that resonates

 with the American mainstream, and that could very well impress the American 

people at large.
