On this week’s episode of Deep Thoughts from Kamala Harris.“I think this is an activist court,” Harris told NBC News’ Chuck Todd, moderator of Meet the Press, when asked about polling that shows the nation’s confidence in the court hitting a low.
“We had an established right for almost half a century, which is the right of women to make decisions about their own body as an extension of what we have decided to be, the privacy rights to which all people are entitled. And this court took that constitutional right away, and we are suffering as a nation because of it.”
An extension of what we had decided to be?
What does that even mean? Is Willie Brown’s ex referring to the false notion that there was some phantom constitutional right to privacy that covered the right to murder babies (the Moloch doctrine) or that babies are an extension of people who decide to identify as women.
With Kamala, the answer is usually, “Who the hell knows.”
Harris went onto say that as someone who has been “inspired by people like Thurgood Marshall,” and by the work of Chief Justice Earl Warren on court decisions like Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka (which struck down school segregation), the court’s actions cause her “great concern about the integrity of the court overall.”
Aside from being Willie’s ex, Kamala has a UC law degree, and served as DA and Attorney General of California. Yet she’s curiously incapable of offering anything meaningful when asked about Dobbs and the Supreme Court.
At least anything more than any random woke layman would say.
That is to say, Kamala doesn’t talk or sound like someone with a legal education, a legal background or any understanding of the law. Instead, she throws out dumb cliches like being inspired by Thurgood Marshall on segregation. What does that have to do with anything? Probably because she’s not too familiar with abortion decisions.
