This was an email sent to me this morning from AIPAC. I've never heard of this organization. I thought their response about Obiden's Israel trip is odd.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel. |

President Joe Biden will land in Israel on Wednesday for his first official Middle East trip as president.
While there, Israeli President Isaac Herzog will award President Biden the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honor.
The honor is being awarded to recognize Biden’s "true friendship with the State of Israel, the people of Israel, and the Jewish People; his uncompromising decades-long commitment to Israel’s security; his contributions to deepening, strengthening, and enhancing the strong and unwavering alliance between Israel and the United States of America; and his struggle against anti-Israeli and antisemitic hatred around the world," President Herzog's office said. President Biden will visit an Iron Dome battery and the new Iron Beam laser rocket defense system, which is designed to work in tandem with systems like Iron Dome and shoot down smaller projectiles.
In addition to strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship, the visit will also work expand Israeli-Arab relations in the region and build on the framework of the Abraham Accords. This visit to Israel is an important affirmation of President Biden's ironclad commitment to advance the solid alliance between the two democratic allies. A stable Middle East remains critical for America’s security, and we
applaud President Biden’s commitment to strengthening our allies. |
