No Article to Post

No article to post,  just a helpful tip for anyone using AOL email and using a desktop client like outlook or some other client like an andriod app to access it.  AOL screwed the pooch last night and those clients stopped sending and receiving email.  Here's the issue and fix.

AOL decided to turn on 2 step verification for email clients whether you turned in on or not. Go to AOL email online and sign in. Click on your name (upper right). Click on "Account Security" on the left. at the bottom click on the App Passord link. In the popup, select your email client and click generate password. You will be given a password, copy it to your clipboard. Use that password in your email client. All better. You don't even need to turn on 2 step verification.

Remember these steps if you need to activate another email client (Phone etc...)

Nice of AOL to ....I don't know, send an email warning about this???

Note: 2 step verification may not be turned on, but the server thinks it is so requires the app password.
