She Persisted: Kayleigh McEnany's Future Plans Are Revealed, and the Left's Meltdowns Are Hilarious

Well before the media projected Joe Biden to be the winner of the presidential election last November, rabid left-wing commentators and anti-Trump “news” outlets like CNN and MSNBC warmed up to the idea of effectively ostracizing and canceling Trump officials from polite society with no job prospects in place because they had the audacity to serve in the Trump administration.

Enemies lists were proposed in certain elite leftist/Never Trump (but I repeat myself) circles. Even so-called journalists like CNN’s Jake Tapper jumped onboard with the idea of life being made harder for former Trump officials who were trying to provide for their families.

“I truly sympathize with those dealing with losing — it’s not easy,” Tapper stated just a few days after the election. “[B]ut at a certain point one has to think not only about what’s best for the nation (peaceful transfer of power) but how any future employers might see your character defined during adversity.”

Though he denied it later, it was a clear threat and one that was echoed in so many words by his colleagues at the network (like Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy) and elsewhere on both social media and in left-wing newsrooms.

Unfortunately for the cancel culturalists on the left, some Trump loyalists who played a prominent role in his administration are not going quietly into the night. For instance, former Trump press secretary Sarah Sanders declared she was running for governor of Arkansas just days after Joe Biden’s inauguration.

And Kayleigh McEnany, the Trump press secretary the left perhaps despised most of all, has a new gig as a Fox News contributor, which the network confirmed today:

Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany has joined the Fox News family.

Harris Faulkner informed viewers on Tuesday during an exclusive interview with McEnany on “The Faulkner Focus.”

“It is my distinct pleasure today to welcome Kayleigh McEnany to the Fox family. We will be seeing much more of her in the future,” Faulkner said.

Watch Faulkner make the announcement below:

We reported back in January on how both McEnany and Fox News had reportedly already been in talks for her to join the network.

Predictably, heads exploded on the left today as Fox made it official. For example, the hacks at the Daily Beast quoted a bunch of unnamed Fox “staffers” (but not reporters) who were supposedly upset by the news:

Media Matters minions were also fauxfended at hearing McEnany had landed a spot on Fox News:

CNN’s resident media hall monitor Brian Stelter proclaimed McEnany’s hiring was just another example of how Fox News is “the Trump White House in exile” (as opposed to numerous CNN contributors, many of who are either former Obama officials are who are prominent members of the DNC):

Perhaps we should start referring to CNN and MSNBC as the “Obama White House in exile”?

And in a straight-up meta moment, here’s a “senior fellow” at Media Matters amplifying the Daily Beast’s anonymously sourced “report” on the Fox staffers who are allegedly not happy with the announcement, noting there was “not a lot of daylight” between MM and the “insiders”:

It’s hilarious how easily they become triggered. Somebody call the wahmbulance for these people, please.

I’m halfway hoping McEnany brings her much-talked-about notebooks with all the tabs and displays them during interviews because her being so well-prepared for what the White House press corp had to throw at her every day greatly enraged her critics, and was the real reason the Usual Suspects couldn’t stand her.

This is a good move by Fox News, for reasons speculated on by my colleague Nick Arama month ago here and then some. We’re living in a time where the liberal media gaslights with regularity, and McEnany has shown time and time again that she does not suffer such fools gladly.
