Houston – Two women were arrested and charged for violently attacking a Korean beauty store owner in north Harris County.
Daquiesha Williams and Keaundra Young punched business owner Jung Kim in the face, leaving her bloodied with a broken nose last week.
Jung Kim said the break is so bad that she needs surgery to fix her nose.
Ms. Kim told KPRC that she asked Daquiesha and Keaundra and a few other women to leave her store after they knocked over several wig displays.
The women became very aggressive and hurled racial insults toward Kim.
“They started saying something like some racial words like, ‘Asian people shouldn’t be in the Black market…We’re stealing their money.”
The surveillance video showed the black women returning and vandalizing the beauty store. At this point, Young charged at Jung Kim and began punching her repeatedly.
Jung Kim’s son, Lee jumped in to defend his mother and the women attacked him too, scratching his face.
Lee said the women even tried running him and his father over in the parking lot.
“We never thought this would happen to us,” Lee said. “All of my customers are nice to us. We are nice to them. We have a good environment here and a good experience here.”
According to KPRC, Williams has been charged with assault, while Young has been charged with aggravated assault.
Beauty store owner Jung Kim spoke to KPRC about the violent attack.
