VIRGINIA: GOP Firebrand Amanda Chase to Censure Dem Louise Lucas For Her Leading Role In BLM’s Statue Destruction, Riots

The gun-toting Amanda Chase is moving to censure Democrat Louise Lucas, who has thus far escaped punishment for her role in 2020's BLM riots.

Virginia State Senator, Amanda Chase is moving to censure one of her Democrat counterparts, Louise Lucas, over her role in a June attack on the City of Portsmouth’s Confederate monument, which investigators say Lucas helped plan, conspiring alongside members of Black Lives Matter and NAACP leadership.

Chase, a conservative firebrand who is seeking the Republican Party’s nomination for Governor, announced her intentions to censure Lucas over Twitter on Friday, telling followers that she will be “filing resolutions to call for censure of every last legislator who has [been] arrested or participated in a rally that ended in destruction.”

Chase’s plans to file the resolutions come after a group of Democrats, which includes Lucas, seized upon their party’s narrative of the recent Capitol Hill protests as an opportunity to censure Chase, over her attendance at the President’s same-day rally alongside an estimated more than one million of her fellow Americans. Chase has been a long-time target of the increasingly left-wing Virginia Democrats.

According to a local reporter, Chase later confirmed that Lucas will be one of the subjects of her filing, citing Lucas’s incitement and attendance of the Portsmouth monument attack (which left one man in critical condition), as well as her booking on charges of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony and Felony Injury to a Monument in Excess of $1,000.

The charges were later dropped by an Our Black Party linked prosecutor, a day after then-Portsmouth Police Chief Angela Greene was fired after spending two months on administrative leave in response to charging Lucas and her co-conspirators.

Lucas currently serves as the Chairwoman of Terry McAuliffe’s latest campaign for Governor of Virginia, and McAuliffe has previously praised Lucas’s involvement in the monument attack, calling her efforts to plan and execute the attack “good trouble.”

It would appear that McAuliffe is still just as enthusiastic about Lucas and her “good trouble,” with spokesman Jake Rubenstein telling a reporter that she’s a “patriot,” who has made “historic contributions” to Virginia, before attacking Chase as “unfit to serve.”

Rubenstein, later took to Twitter to hail Lucas as a “hero” and again as a “patriot.”

In a Tweet thanking Rubenstein for his praise, Lucas cited her move to censure Chase, accusing her of “helping to incite the insurrection, to overthrow the Government” before writing that “we can no longer allow her to spread conspiracy theories without consequences.”
