When violence erupted in Minneapolis over the death of George Floyd, the local leaders made a startling statement. The governor suggested that foreign actors, including cartel members, were behind much of the widespread destruction. It compelled the state to call in the National Guard. Few in the media have explored the possibility that outside forces are manipulating the ongoing violence. But now we know, the FBI is taking it seriously.
Soon after protests formed over the death of George Floyd at the hands of police, violence broke out in the city of Minneapolis. We’re not talking about a few smashed cars and windows. There was a very orchestrated attempt to spread destruction, with reports that professional arsonists were moving through the city. The governor claimed that—along with an unverified statement about white supremacists—foreign influences and drug cartels were behind the violence.
Much of the evidence, including video footage, suggests that the violence nationwide is the fault of Antifa and Black Lives Matter. So much so, that few in the media bothered to address the governor’s claims. But now, the FBI is stating that they have launched numerous investigations, revealing that foreign powers might be behind it after all.
The FBI is “looking carefully” at the possibility that foreign actors are influencing the sometimes-violent nationwide protests in the wake of George Floyd’s in-custody death, FBI Director Christopher Wray exclusively told Fox News’ Bret Baier on Wednesday.
Wray also revealed that “the FBI has over 2,000 active investigations that trace back to the government in China,” marking “about a 1,300 percent increase in terms of economic espionage investigations with the Chinese nexus from about a decade ago.”
“We have certainly seen in the past a variety of foreign adversaries looking to amplify controversy in this country,” Wray said. “And they use state media. They use social media. Some of that is through propaganda, some of that’s through disinformation, some of that’s through just fake information. And we are looking carefully at the prospect of foreign influence or foreign interference in all of the protests and activities that have occurred over the last few weeks.” [Source: Fox News]
It’s not so farfetched to think that China or international criminal organizations are manipulating useful idiots like Antifa and BLM. We know that Antifa is a loosely-organized, global group. It would be easy for American branches of the group to be infiltrated by foreign agents. Black Lives Matter communicates widely through social media. What’s stopping Chinese actors from using those channels to spread more unrest?
Considering just how much these activists groups encourage the violence, it’s not even hard to say that they want outside help. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, some stupidly say. So, Antifa and BLM just might be taking advantage of outside resources to accomplish their goals.
It would be a horrifying prospect, but not surprising. This “movement” has gone from protesting the death of a man to tearing down statues of American leaders. It wouldn’t at all surprise me to learn that China was using the stupidity of BLM’s message to bring chaos and instability to our country—with the intent of affecting our election (or making the pandemic worse).
The fact that the FBI is conduct so many investigations means there’s smoke to this possible fire. Wray said they have 2,000 active investigations. They all trace back to the Chinese government. It’s not at all crazy to think that China is manipulating all these protests—perhaps it was their idea from the start?
China’s not our friend. And they are desperate to distract the world from their responsibility for COVID. They also don’t want Donald Trump re-elected president, as he is the only world leader who will hold China’s feet to the fire. Joe Biden would roll over for them. You can easily connect the dots. China would benefit from widespread riots in the U.S. that extended all the way to election day.
The only question is: how is the FBI going to stop it?
