WHO Senior Advisor Gives Shameful Answer When Asked About Taiwan’s Success Against the Virus

WHO Senior Advisor Gives Shameful Answer When Asked About Taiwan’s Success Against the Virus

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), speaks to the media after the International Health Regulations Emergency Committee on Ebola in Congo, in Geneva, Switzerland, Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018. The World Health Organization says it is “deeply concerned” by the ongoing Ebola outbreak in Congo but the situation does not yet warrant being declared a global emergency. A lot of questions have been raised not only about China’s handling of the Wuhan virus, but the actions of the World Health Organization (in spreading the Chinese lies.
Infamously, WHO tweeted to the world the the virus wasn’t contagious on Jan. 14, long after China knew it was in fact contagious. They have not yet held China to account for that deception or even acknowledged it, as far as we know.
The organization has also bent over backwards to China’s demands to exclude Taiwan from the group of countries that received information from WHO. Despite that, Taiwan informed WHO in December that they knew it was contagious. But WHO still was telling the world in January the Chinese government official line. That cost the world at least a month and allowed the virus to spread all over the world, with the cost of thousands of lives at this point. According to one survey, 95% of the cases could have been averted had China not lied. Taiwan has been one of the greater success stories, despite not having information from WHO (or because perhaps, they did not), they’ve had very few cases and have kept the virus in check.
How compromised is WHO?
WHO dug an even bigger hole for themselves during an interview with Radio Television Hong Kong. RTHK asked Bruce Alyward, the senior advisor to Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, about whether they would reconsider Taiwan’s membership. First Aylward pretending that he didn’t hear the question. Then when pressed on it by the interviewer, told her to move on to the next question, and when she continued to ask about Taiwan, he appeared to hang up the call. They still persisted and called him back asking what he thought about Taiwan’s approach to containing the virus. His response was a masterpiece of Communist propaganda, saying that “we’ve already talked about China” and that when you looked across all the “different areas of China” that they’ve all done quite a good job.
Can it be any clearer that they are basically shilling for the Chinese at this point? They aren’t even willing to acknowledge Taiwan as a separate country, completely repeating Chinese government propaganda. This is what it means to be completely compromised.
