Bernie's new abortion platform calls for expanding Planned Parenthood funding, abolishing the Hyde and Helms amendments, and the Gosnell proposal that would, "Ban state Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers (TRAP) laws that put undue and unnecessary burdens and regulations on doctors who provide abortion services, with the goal of restricting access. Require preclearance for state abortion laws to ensure that state laws do not impose undue restrictions and barriers for abortion services."
Abortion clinics are already minimally regulated.
That's how Gosnell was able to do what he did.
Gosnell is accused of first-degree murder in the deaths of seven newborns and third-degree murder for the death of one of his patients.Investigators of his Philadelphia abortion clinic described it as a “house of horrors.”“My grasp of the English language doesn’t really allow me to fully describe how horrific this clinic was — rotting bodies, fetal remains, the smell of urine throughout, blood-stained,” Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams said during the trial, according to CNN.

More than 2,000 fetuses discovered in the garage of an Indiana abortion doctor after he died will be laid to rest Wednesday in a graveside service, officials said.The 2,411 medically preserved fetal remains found at Dr. Ulrich Klopfer’s home will be “memorialized” at Southlawn Cemetery and Palmer Funeral Home in South Bend, Indiana, according to the Indiana Attorney General’s Office.The grisly discovery was made at the doctor’s Will County, Illinois, home soon after his Sept. 3, 2019, death.All of the remains were from abortions the South Bend doctor performed at his various clinics in the state, officials said.

The abortion industry is marginally regulated. Bernie Sanders wants to prevent states from regulating abortion clinics at the federal level. His call for preclearance treats any attempt at regulating abortion clinics as a civil rights violation.
