Body found hanging from tree in Central Park

A man’s body was found hanging from a tree in Central Park in an apparent suicide Sunday morning, according to police.
Members of the NYPD discovered the body inside the park near East 74th St. and Fifth Ave. around 6:30 a.m., cops said.
The man, who is believed to be in his 40s, was homeless, according to police sources.
He was found wearing a black sweatshirt, sneakers, and jeans, according to cops at the scene.
“We were taking our normal walk in Central Park and then we saw all these cop cars,” said Stacey Feldman, 59. “We saw them putting a body bag on [and] then we saw the rope.”
“It makes you realize how fragile people’s lives are,” said Michael Gunzberg, 59.
It was not immediately clear how long the body was hanging before the cops arrived.
It is unclear who found the man’s body.
