Former first lady Michelle Obama won a Grammy award for the audiobook of her memoir "Becoming."
Obama's memoir follows her life growing up on the South Side of Chicago through her years as first lady of the United States.
Obama was among the early winners announced.
Winners in other categories will be announced throughout the evening during the award show.
- Justin Thyme-Two cents worth of opinion. Will this awards go into the same showcase for awards given that were completely unmerited, like Barack Hussein's Noble Peace Prize? From the official Grammy Awards website, what Grammys are given for:
'A Grammy Award, or Grammy, is an award presented by The Recording Academy to recognize achievements in the music industry. The trophy depicts a gilded gramophone. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists, and the presentation of those awards that have a more popular interest. '
On must assume since it is issued as a "music award" there was music in Michelle's memoir. Perhaps she broke into song... "'I've gotta be me, because it's all about me"!
