RedState’s Jennifer Van Laar wrote Sunday about the horrific news from Monsey, New York where five Jewish people were injured in brutal stabbing attacks on a synagogue Saturday night during a Hanukkah celebration. “This is the second stabbing attack in two months in Monsey, which is an ‘Ultra-Orthodox’ community,” she noted.
Saturday night’s stabbings were the 10th assault on the Jewish community in New York City area in the timespan of a week. Understandably, the community is on high alert and is fearful that more are just around the corner.
As Bonchie noted in a follow-up post, Democrats and media figures alike were predictably quick to rush to the Twitter machine to blame President Trump for the recent attacks because their way of “solving” a crisis is to immediately point fingers and cast blame instead of waiting for the facts because Orange Man Bad and stuff.
One of the more high-profile Democratic politicos to take part in the “blame Trump” game was failed presidential candidate Eric Swalwell (CA), who has a history of never letting a national tragedy get in the way of playing cheap political games while people are grieving.
In the aftermath of the Monsey stabbings, Swalwell first posted a tweet stating his heart was with the victims:
My heart is with the Jewish community in Monsey, New York, tonight. The reports of a hateful mass stabbing during Hanukkah are devastating & incredibly troubling. We must do more to fight against anti-Semitism in America & I stand in solidarity with the victims & their families. twitter.com/nytimes/status …

Nothing wrong with that one, but 12 hours later he posted another in which he – you guessed it – blamed Trump for the attacks, linking to a diatribe he wrote earlier in the month laying the blame for the rise in anti-Semitism on Trump’s doorstep:
Anti-Semitism is on the rise in America. And it’s being stoked by @realDonaldTrump who won’t condemn it and Trump’s lawyer, @RudyGiuliani, who just this week said he’s “more Jewish than Soros.” ICYMI, my @jdforward op-ed on what we must do: forward.com/opinion/436231 …

President Trump - first sitting president to pray at Western Wall, only president with the courage to move our embassy to Jerusalem, the current president to rebuild our relationship with Israel after the last president took it to an unprecedented level of strain.

So let me get this straight.
Trump has a Jewish son in law, daughter and grandkids hes the only POTUS to follow through recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel & Israel named the Golan Heights, “Trump Heights”.
But Swalwell thinks Trump is responsible for anti-semitism?
