One of the most damning arguments employed by the Republicans during this impeachment circus was that the entire charade was orchestrated by House Intel Committee Chair Adam Schiff, possibly in conjunction with a White House whistleblower.
As last week wore on, this became all the more apparent. An increasing number of House Republicans began using their time during these impeachment hearings to shed light on Schiff and his staff’s action in the days leading up to the release of the whistleblower’s complaint regarding a phone call between Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart.
They allege that Schiff had advanced knowledge of the situation, and they’ve insinuated that this could have been a well coordinated attempt at a takedown of President Trump.
Now, new reports are stating that Schiff not only has possible ties to the whistleblower, but also to Burisma – the Ukrainian natural gas company at the center of the entire scandal.
funded by and works in partnership with Burisma, the natural gas company at the center of allegations regarding Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.Yet another staffer for Rep. Adam Schiff served as a fellow for the Atlantic Council, a think tank that is
Sean Misko has been described as “close friends” with Eric Ciaramella, whom Real Clear Investigations suggests is the likely so-called whistleblower. Misko reportedly joined Schiff’s staff at the House Intelligence Committee in August – the same month the so-called whistleblower’s complaint was filed after first reportedly interfacing with a staffer for Schiff’s office.
Misko in 2015 was a yearlong “Millennium Fellow” at the Burisma-funded Atlantic Council, which has been under the microscope for its ties to other individuals associated with the Trump impeachment inquiry. This is the second thread connecting Schiff and Burisma.
Thomas Eager, a staffer on Schiff’s House Intelligence Committee, is currently a fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Congressional Fellowship, a bipartisan program that says it “educates congressional staff on current events in the Eurasia region.”Schiff and his fellow Democrats are currently mulling their options on how best to move forward with the impeachment of Donald Trump.
Burisma in January 2017 signed a “cooperative agreement” with the Council to specifically sponsor the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center, where Eager serves as a fellow.
