Networks failed to mention the story from Saturday through Monday morning, according to a search of transcripts

Eye-popping diary entries written by Dr. Anthony Fauci reveal the former White House COVID advisor was fixated on his newfound celebrity at the height of the global pandemic, but anyone who relies on legacy media outlets for news and information may not be aware. 

ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, CNN and MS NOW's on-air broadcasts ignored Fauci’s diary entries from the time they were released on Saturday afternoon through Monday at 9 a.m. ET when flagship morning shows had concluded, according to a search of transcripts using Grabien Media. 

Released by Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rand Paul, R-Ky., the journals chronicle Fauci's day-to-day role during the COVID-19 crisis through conversations with President Donald Trump, governors and world leaders, media appearances, and his personal observations as the pandemic unfolded in 2020.

Diary entries written by Dr. Anthony Fauci have been ignored by numerous media outlets on the airwaves.

Paul, a longtime Fauci critic who frequently clashed with him over the federal response and the origins of the virus, made the diaries public as part of the committee's ongoing oversight investigation. The diary entries document Fauci’s fondness of his newfound fame, cozy relationships with a variety of legacy media personalities, his growing frustration with the Trump White House and the suggestion that it was "not hyperbole" to say he was "the most famous and talked about person in the country."

The diary entries exploded on social media but appear to have been ignored by mainstream news networks. 

"NBC Nightly News" failed to mention the story over the weekend and NBC continued to look the other way Monday morning on "Today," according to Grabien transcripts. On ABC, "World News Tonight" and "Good Morning America" followed the same pattern, while "CBS’ Evening News" and "CBS Mornings" didn’t find anything newsworthy, either.  

Sunday affairs programs such as ABC’s "This Week," NBC’s "Meet the Press" and CBS’ "Face the Nation" also declined to cover Fauci’s diary.

It was much of the same on cable news, as CNN and MS NOW both ignored the story on linear television through Monday morning. The word "Fauci" was not mentioned once, according to Grabien Media. 

CNN’s on-air blackout came despite anchor Jake Tapper appearing repeatedly throughout the private diary entries as Fauci documented phone calls, text exchanges and dinners at the Tappers' Washington home amid their growing friendship. 

Fauci wrote that Tapper privately checked to make sure a CNN interview hadn't caused problems with the White House. When The Atlantic's Peter Nicholas suggested Fauci had been "humiliated" over a canceled Tapper interview, Fauci fired back in his diary: "F--- you, Peter."

After Fauci's heated exchange with GOP Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan in April 2021, Fauci wrote that CNN's Dana Bash texted him, telling him he was "a better man" and relaying that fellow CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer had joked no one would have blamed Fauci if he had told Jordan to "go f--- yourself."

Diary entries written by Dr. Anthony Fauci shocked social media over the weekend. 

Fox News chief political analyst Brit Hume took notice of the media blackout. 

"This is not getting the coverage it deserves," Hume wrote on X. "Is that because so many media luminaries were so chummy with the man at the center of a major medical controversy?"

ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN did not immediately respond to a request for comment. MS NOW declined comment. 

The diary release came days before Fauci is scheduled to testify before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee after being subpoenaed by Paul. Several network insiders have suggested the news broke during a busy news cycle and there is still time to cover it before Wednesday’s hearing.

Cracker Barrel’s CEO Steps Down After Disastrous ‘Woke’ Rebrand Sparked Uproar

In August 2025, Cracker Barrel’s CEO, Julie Felss Masino, sparked outrage by changing the restaurant chain’s iconic logo.

The company, as part of an attempted $700 million rebrand, announced it was replacing its 47-year-old logo, which featured the restaurant’s name next to a man sitting in a chair and leaning on a barrel.

The new, woke rebrand removed the man and the barrel, leaving just the name. She also pushed for changing the eclectic interior, opting for something cold and sterile, and then claimed the public just loved the new logo and look.

Her decisions may have ultimately cost Masino her job.

On Monday, the company announced Masino is stepping down after less than three years in the position and will be replaced by David Deno.

The outrage was so widespread,  even President Trump weighed in. He said, “Cracker Barrel should go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate Poll), and manage the company better than ever before,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “They got a Billion Dollars worth of free publicity if they play their cards right. Very tricky to do, but a great opportunity. Have a major News Conference today.”

Cracker Barrel’s co-founder Tommy Lowe was not impressed with the changes and called the new logo “pitiful.”

Lowe sat down with Newschannel5’s Carrie Sharp and had some harsh words for the woke CEO trying to destroy the business he founded.

“They’re trying to modernize to be like the competition – Cracker Barrel doesn’t have any competition. I heard she [Masino] was at Taco Bell. What’s Taco Bell know about Cracker Barrel and country food? They need to work on the food and service and leave the barrel – the logo alone,” Lowe said.

Although the company initially doubled down, it ultimately caved to public pressure and announced a return to the beloved “Old Timer” logo.

But not before doing damage to the company and, possibly, costing Masino her job.

Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Felss Masino is stepping down after the failure of her “woke” rebrand last year, which was rolled back following intense backlash from loyal customers, the company announced Monday.

David Deno, a restaurant exec who most recently served as CEO of Bloomin’ Brands, which owns Outback Steakhouse, will replace Masino on August 10, according to a Cracker Barrel press release.

Her departure comes after less than three years at the helm, during which diners revolted against the company’s attempts to modernize the Southern dining chain by axing its beloved mascot Uncle Herschel and revamping restaurants without its telltale tchotchkes.

Pregnant Woman Among Three Injured in Paris ‘Allah Commanded Me’ Stabbing Spree

Three people, reportedly including a pregnant woman, were injured on Monday morning in Paris after a man went on a stabbing spree in the French capital.

UPDATE 1330: The mayor of the local 17th arrondissement, Geoffroy Boulard, has confirmed on X that one of the victims in the apparent stabbing attack was pregnant. Le Parisien reported that the victims are 19, 24, and 36 years old.

Despite the attacker reportedly claiming that he was motivated by “Allah”, the case is not currently being treated as a terror incident. A source close to the investigation told Le Parisien: “The guy said Allah sent me to kill women. But no, he’s crazy.”

According to a report from the Parisien newspaper, three women were attacked in the street by a knifeman near the Porte de Clichy metro station in northern Paris on Monday. The paper asserted that one of the three victims was pregnant at the time of the attack.

A separate report from Le Figaro stated that two of the victims are currently in critical condition, while the third is in serious condition.

“They were taken care of by emergency services and transported to the hospital,” a Paris police prefecture spokesman stated.

Le Figaro said that an off-duty police officer had witnessed a man with two knives attacking a pedestrian. He is said to have called for backup and eventually apprehended the suspect.

The paper cited footage circulating on social media, which appeared to show the suspected knifeman being held down by multiple people. In the video, he is reportedly heard saying: “Allah commanded me”.

Le Parisien reported that the suspect is a 31-year-old male. No further information on his background has been made public at the time of this reporting.

The paper claimed that the suspect “apparently does not have all his mental faculties”.

Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said that he is remaining “very cautious about the motive of this violent act,” claiming that the suspect was heard “uttering incoherent statements”.

The stabbing spree comes just two days after one woman was killed and 29 people were injured as a vehicle was driven into crowds of revellers at the annual LGBTQ+ Pride Parade in Berlin on Saturday in what the government has characterised as an Islamist terror attack. The suspect, Lebanese-heritage Abdul Ballut, 21, was shot and killed by police on Sunday after a 20-hour manhunt in the German capital.

Australian Reality TV Actress Whines About Her Experience at ‘Disgusting’ U.S. Detention Facility as She Reveals The Reason She Was Deported From America

“Below Deck” actress Natalya Scudder. 

A reality TV ‘star’ went on TV this weekend to whimper about her ‘disgusting‘ experience at a U.S. detention facility before she was deported from the country.

On Saturday, TMZ spoke with Natalya Scudder, who has starred in both Season 7 and Season 8 of “Below Deck,” where she spoke about her last experience in America.

Scudder, a native of Perth, Western Australia, told the outlet that she was trying to land at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) recently before getting yanked away by security.

“I basically got pulled from like this main waiting area to behind the scenes of the airport,” she told TMZ.

She added that the man “was taking longer than usual” in the immigration line.

Scudder was later informed that immigration authorities were detaining her for making profits on American soil by monetizing her social media content, including her OnlyFans account, while using the wrong visa.

The actress stated that she found the experience completely humiliating.

“Whatever you think’s deleted on your iPhone, it’s not deleted,” Scudder said. “Every single thing you’ve ever screenshotted, taken a picture of, Googled.”

“It’s really embarrassing just having everyone kind of stare at you and laugh when they come out of this room and gaze over,” she added.

Immigration officers then took Scudder to a detention facility, where the dirty bedding and showers repulsed her.

“There were dirty blankets on the floor, stains on the wall,” Scudder said. “There’s a shower, but there’s no towels.”

“I go to (the staff) and ask, ‘How do I shower?’ “She continued. “And they say, ‘Oh, you just wash yourself and dry yourself with your dirty clothes and put them back on.'”

Scudder also revealed that she had asked for a blanket because she was “freezing,” but was informed that “This isn’t the Beverly Hills Hotel.”

Scudder said the authorities told her she was going to spend “1 to 5 days” in lockup. She ended up being detained for 30 to 40 hours.

The actress went on to add that she had an anxiety attack before falling asleep at 3 am.

Then, she said the staff shook her to wake her up for her official interview. But she quickly discovered that a happy ending was not in store.

After her ‘tough’ experience, authorities promptly put Scudder on a 17-hour flight back to Australia.

Scudder closed the TMZ interview by saying that while she still loves the United States, she wants other influencers to be careful when traveling there and have the proper work visa.
